Developer Muzzy Lane has released their first developer diary for turn-based strategy Making History: The Great War, which is available through Steam Early Access and was on show at PAX East.

Product manager Chris Parsons talks us through such a huge event and how even a World War One game got swamped with attention, especially when they learnt they could change history.

According to an insider at Ubisoft, the upcoming Assassin's Creed: Unity will be introducing a series first with a four-player co-operative mode with its own narrative. Apparently it will be shown at E3 alongside single player.

Two demos will be at this year's E3 from Ubisoft, but they might not be shown together during the press conference. One could be reserved for another venue, such as Sony's platform.

Dragon Age: Inquisition "isn't the wrap-up of a trilogy," it has 'no coloured endings'

BioWare's executive producer Mark Darrah for Dragon Age: Inquisition has affirmed that this October 7th due RPG "isn't the wrap-up of a trilogy," as they never built it with that in mind unlike Mass Effect.

Every Dragon Age, barring expansions to the original, has had new lead characters. Producer Cameron Lee adds they "don't have colored endings," referring to Mass Effect 3.

Sony Online Entertainment has unveiled their H1Z1 zombie MMO, but isn't it treading on DayZ's undead toes? Yes and no, says John Smedley. This is SOE's 'take' on the zombie doomsday scenario.

However they'll be using Planetside 2's engine tech to power H1Z1, meaning they can flood whole areas with zombies for epic scaled battles against player strongholds.

BioWare has just released a new gameplay trailer for Dragon Age: Inquisition which almost reaches 2 minutes long. The Inquisitor is the love survivor of a cataclysmic blast that has the world reeling in chaos.

More importantly BioWare and EA have announced a solid date for release - October 7th. The footage is full of teasers and finishes with a wide shot of our Inquisition companions.

Recording complete for The Stanley Parable's announcement pack for DOTA 2

Actor Kevan Brighting has revealed the recording for the announcement pack from The Stanley Parable for use in Valve's DOTA 2 has been completed. There's still no release date yet for the pack.

Only the audio work has been ticked off the list, as now all the dialogue needs to been coded into DOTA 2. Valve has already delighted our nerd brains with GLaDOS in DOTA 2.

WB Games Montreal release Cold, Cold Heart DLC for Batman: Arkham Origins

Today things get a little chilly with Mr. Freeze gatecrashing a party at the Wayne Manor. The Cold, Cold Heart DLC adds a new single player adventure to Batman: Arkham Origins as part of the season pass.

It releases on PC, Xbox 360 and on PS3 in the US today, and in Europe for PS3 tomorrow. Batman's XE suit is introduced with the new add-on, along with hours of new gameplay.

King's Bounty: Dark Side from 1C Company, due out this summer

Publisher 1C Company has announced King's Bounty: Dark Side which for the first time in the series lets us choose our hero's race and class. We'll be exploring the 'darker side' of Teana.

This new King's Bounty RPG comes with over 100 new quests and 15 new world locations with new units, artefacts and abilities. Each hero will also have their own companions.

Codemasters announce GRID: Autosport, "more authentic" racer for the series

As was prophesied by the 18 second teaser last week, Codemasters has unveiled a new GRID game. It's called GRID: Autosport and the team is aiming for "more authentic racing" with this new entry.

They "hadn't quite achieved everything" they wanted with GRID 2, and admit they perhaps moved some things "too far away from our core fanbase." Autosport is a "much more focussed motorsport game".

Here's the very Dark Souls-ish box art for Bioware's Dragon Age: Inquisition . Armoured dudes striding through the mist towards some unspeakable evil is clearly the in thing at the moment. Also, there's much less blood than you'd expect from Dragon Age game.

Throwback adventure game Tesla Effect: A Tex Murphy Adventure will now launch on May 7 for PC and Mac, according to a developer video released yesterday.

Although the team at Big Finish Games had planned to launch April 22, they decided to push the sci-fi detective title back a couple of weeks in order to add more polish to the game.

The official GRID YouTube channel has added an 18 second teaser trailer which features mostly nothing but a few streaking red lights that dart across the screen. It's entitled 'Brace Yourselves... Racing Is Coming'.

Codemasters has been teasing something new is on the way for GRID and/or DiRT, and now we appear to have a date for the next GRID racer to be unveiled: April 22nd.

Ubisoft is stoked with the high numbers of pre-orders for Watch Dogs, their brand new IP that nearly stole the show for Ubisoft's E3 2012 presentation with its flirtation with cyberpunk themes in near-future Chicago.

Ubisoft's Wayne Greenwell says they expect Watch Dogs to be as big as FIFA or Call of Duty, with the open world action game believed to be one of 2014's best sellers.

According to a report, Ubisoft is developing a 2D-based Prince of Persia using the same engine as the recent Rayman games. Ubisoft's RPG Child of Light also uses the UbiArt Framework engine.

They'll be using the "same techniques of animation" with the Prince's body having parts independently animated, much like Rayman. This is to give him 'real diversity' in postures and movement.

Fantasy 4X Endless Legend from Amplitude Studios is "full-steam ahead" as the developer preps for the Steam Early Access launch that'll be arriving "within weeks." Amplitude also unveils the fourth faction.

The Necrophages are a "scuttling monstrosity polluting the surface of Auriga," and are an insectoid race that "fight, feed, and propagate." A new trailer has been released.

Square Enix run Easter sale over weekend, Steam titles with 50% off

Publisher Square Enix is discounting a number of PC titles with Steam keys through their digital storefront this weekend in celebration of the Easter holiday. A bunch get their price tags halved, including Thief.

There's also Tomb Raider GOTY edition, The Last Remnant, Final Fantasy VIII, Hitman: Absolution and even Urban Chaos. Each use Steamworks to deliver the goods.

War Thunder is about to get a lot more personal as Gaijin Entertainment's Update 1.39 for the dogfighting MMO has received a new toolset letting pilots customise their planes from paint work to entirely new models.

They're going all 'user generated content' on War Thunder, and an internal system checks if these custom creations pass muster and abide the game's rules - if so, then they can be shared.

El Presidente will permit pre-purchasing of Tropico 5 later today with both a standard and a Steam Special Edition on offer, with 10% off during the pre-order phase. Closed beta applicants get an additional 10% off.

Kalypso are offering three tiered goodies for Tropico 5 if enough pre-purchase orders are placed and they are Tropico 4, the first Tropico 5 DLC, and Omerta - City of Gangsters.

Cyanide Studios, the team behind Styx: Master of Shadows, have released a new batch of screenshots for their upcoming goblin sneak-em-up. There's ceiling-hanging, corpse-carrying, a giant with nipple-rings and... a tiny bird.

Developer/publisher Team17 has teamed up with independent developer Italic Pig to bring Schrodinger’s Cat and the Raiders of the Lost Quark to PC in the third quarter of 2014. They describe the game as "a fast-and-furious, action-adventure, platformer-puzzler-punch-up." Which isn't very helpful, but luckily there's a trailer that helps you work out what they mean.
