| Frictional Games announces next Horror Project | |

Frictional Games announces that its hard at work on a new, currently untitled, horror game. The upcoming project is set in the late 18th century and will take the player on a thrill-ride through the depths of madness and explore the dark side of the human emotions. Frictional Games promises to deliver a truly frightening first person survival horror game. The primary aim is to make the game as scary and atmospheric as possible. "There are plenty of ideas that we never realized in the Penumbra games. We think it is possible to go a lot further in terms of evoking unsettling feelings and a sense of dread in the player", says co-founder and sound designer Jens Nilsson. The atmosphere is not the only focus of the game though and Frictional Games is determined to deliver a solid gameplay experience. | |

EA confirmed today that Mirror's Edge will launch for both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on November 14th, with US getting it a little earlier on the 11th. The PC version of Mirror's Edge will ship later in the winter. | |

Ubisoft are asking fans of the upcoming Prince of Persia game for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC to take a video of themselves asking a question that they would like Ubisoft to answer, and the team will then answer the question by uploading a new video to its YouTube profile. | |

Eurogamer is reporting that Codemaster's new title Rise of the Argonauts will ship in November 2008. The official web page lists Fall 2008 as the currently scheduled release of the game for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and the PC. | |

Rock Paper Shotgun reports that a PC version of Star Wars: Force Unleashed could be in development, as hinted from the NVISION 08 conference, where COO of Pixelux (the company behind the physics for SW: Force Unleashed), Vik Sohal, said in his talk that a PC version is in development. | |

Dark Motif has told Strategy Informer that it has decided to postponed Adam Syndrome to Q3 2009, as the team has plans to turn development from a modest budget title, to a full scale project. This means the game design will be enhanced, special effects added and more advanced features will be implemented. | |
