Wargaming has announced details for the upcoming 8.5 update for World of Tanks. The update will add new medium and light tank for both the German and the Soviet tech tree. Players will also be able to purchase all premium consumables with silver credits.

The original Darkfall was released back in 2009, and the MMO was shut down in November 2012 to make way for an updated version, Darkfall Unholy Wars. The new rebranding has been in beta since then, and is ready to launch on the 16th April.

Mojang has announced that the PC version of Minecraft has reached over 10 million unit sales. The game had reached 9 million back in January.via Twitter that the PC version of the sandbox game has now sold 10 million copies.

Controversial zombie survival MMO The War Z has been the victim of database attacks for both their online forums and the game itself. Compromised data includes email, passwords, IPs and character names.
While passwords are encrypted, OP Productions admits a brute force approach could get through as many users are "not using strong passwords." They advise changing them immediately.

Reloaded Productions has brought All Points Bulletin (APB): Vendetta onto Kickstarter as they seek gamers to vote with their wallets; yay or nay. They'd like $300k with 34 days before the deadline.
To summarise the project quickly it's a "character-driven extreme mobility competitive shooter", which I'm sure just answered all possible questions. Someone has already pledged $2,500.

EVE Online developer CCP, creator of a whole galaxy nonetheless, has marked June 4th in their calendar as the date their 19th free expansion will be releasing - Odyssey. It's a 'love letter to space exploration'.
A lot is changing with Odyssey such as the scanning mechanic being revamped, a fresh UI, rewards for finding hidden treasures among the stars, new ships, graphics updates and more.

Developer Turbine is behind a DC Multiverse MOBA, announces Warner Bros. Interactive. It's a free-to-play mash-up of all DC Comics characters and will be heading for PC this year.

The MMORPG Marvel Heroes from Diablo creator David Brevik will officially leave beta June 4th as the game launches. It's a free-to-play MMO in action-RPG style with heroes earned and purchased.

Cryptic Studios has announced that the next major expansion for their licensed MMO Star Trek Online will be Legacy of Romulus, which will finally add the Romulans as a playable faction. The faction will get the mighty Warbird class ships, while Denise Crosby will be reprising her role as Sela, who is now the Empress of Romulus.

In the run up to the release of Star Wars: The Old Republic's first expansion, The Rise of the Hutts, BioWare will be running double XP weekends to help users get characters up to level 50 that bit faster.
The new expansion, aside from adding a new planet and faction story line, will be increasing the level cap to 55. These double XP events begin "mid-March and continue through early April."

Wargaming announced today that it's MMO action game World of Tanks has set a new Guinness World Record for the most players online simultaneously on one MMO server. The number of players logged on to one of World of Tank's servers reached 190,541 on 21st January, 2013.
Brad McQuaid returns to EverQuest after 12 years

A founding designer for EverQuest has returned to the series having have left it 12 years ago. Brad McQuaid worked at Verant Interactive before Sony Online Entertainment snapped the studio up.
He left in 2001 to form Sigil Games, which was later bought by SOE in 2007. McQuaid has decided to return to the series he helped create, finding it "still very much the EQ I was involved with."
