Insomniac Games' Ratchet & Clank is heading for the silver screen in 2015 (hey that rhythms!) courtesy of Blockade Entertainment and animation talent from studio Rainmaker Entertainment.

James Stevenson of Insomniac says the "action, humor and galaxy-spanning adventures" of the Ratchet & Clank series is perfect for film. T.J. Fixman is writing the script, who also wrote for all the games.

Former Darksiders devs "more than happy to take the IP off" Nordic's hands

Vigil Games co-founder and lead designer for Darksiders 1 & 2 has told Nordic via the publisher's forums that any future title in the series should be adventurous, and explore those other horsemen comets.

Lead combat designer Ben Cureton implores them to stick with "fast-paced combat, the sense of scale, quality voice acting," and making Strife and Fury "BADASS" - or sell the IP to Crytek.

A Korean ratings board site had leaked a Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection classification a few days ago, and now GameSpot has confirmed on its Twitter feed that it is a real bundle that will be arriving in June for the PlayStation 3.

According to anonymous sources the development team behind L.A. Noire, who were formerly known as Team Bondi, have been let go after their Whore of the Orient project failed to secure a publisher.

KMM's Doug Mitchell has said that the "unique and extraordinary story and game" of Whore of the Orient isn't being abandoned, but didn't confirm or deny reports of staff layoffs.

Developer High Moon Studios has annouced that Deadpool: The Game will be launching on the 25th June for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The game will feature a lower cost that standard: $49.99 USD for PS3 and 360, and $39.99 on PC.

The next attack is coming and only Sam Fisher and his green goggles can stop those pesky terror cells. Ubisoft has just released an all-new teaser for the upcoming Splinter Cell Blacklist, which is due in August.

Fans of the series will note that actor Michael Ironside will not be reprising his long standing voice role as Sam Fisher. Blacklist takes place after Conviction, and we see a new Echelon program.

A 1990's platforming champion is set to re-release this summer as SEGA air a trailer teasing a very modernised Castle of Illusion starring Mickey Mouse. It has been spotted for XBLA before as art leaked.

The title was also listed on the Brazilian ratings board. The SEGA Mega Drive classic is certainly high up on the list of awesome platforming gems from the 16-bit era.

Rockstar create Spotify and iTunes playlists for GTA radio stations

Fancy a blast of nostalgia in the ears? Rockstar Games has gone ahead and "compiled the official set of playlists" for the Grand Theft Auto series, including Chinatown Wars. Some tracks are missing however.

Only music already available via the two services are included in the playlists, but Rockstar hope to "add the original songs" created for the games. Only want to listen to the commercials?

Ubisoft announces Flashback HD to celebrate 20th Anniversary

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of Flashback, Ubisoft is developing an HD version that will be rendered in 3D for the Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network.

Flashback HD is being developed using the unreal engine and it's not a reboot, but a re-imagined version created by the original Core-Team.

Ubisoft is working with Pwnee Studios to bring an indie title called Cloudberry Kingdom to the PC, PlayStation 3, PS Vita, Wii U, Xbox 360 and Mac in Summer 2013.

Cloudberry Kingdom has been in development for three years, but the team decided to quit their day jobs a year again and have been working on the game full time ever since.

When Ubisoft announced that the Wii U title Rayman Legends would be going multiplatform and delayed for a few months into September, there was an outcry from fans, as well as Michel Ancel himself.

However, when you're given lemons, you make lemonade, and the development team has made full use of the extra time to create 30 additional levels and more bosses.
