Sega has announced that three classic coin-op arcade fighters develope dby AM2 are now available on Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network for 400 Microsoft Points ($4.99/£3.69/€4.49) each. The fighters include Virtua Fighter 2, Fighting Vipers and Sonic the Fighters.

Publisher Capcom has trademarked a new name which looks to band together the mass of brawlers from their catalogue. The filed patent encompasses every type of media to do with the name.

'Fighters of Capcom' could be a special new spin-off series pairing their fighting stars off, or it could even be a comic series. Time will tell what they've in mind for their muscle bulging roster.

Capcom has announced the first downloadable content pack for their upcoming reboot DmC: Devil May Cry. The DLC tells the tale of Dante's twin brother Vergil, which will allow gamers to play him as an alternate character. It will also include new weapons, combos, enemies, and locations.

The big jumbo tweak that is Version 2013 for Street Fighter x Tekken has been detailed by Capcom as they release the changelog. Whilst some are just aesthetic, others are more nerd specific.

There's an avalanche of character tweakings from the amount of damage done to frame reductions. This Version 2013 update is entirely free from Capcom. It's a system change KO.

Sony has announced that PlayStation Plus users will get to try out PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale first-hand this week as they launch its beta. Those of the Plus group begin October 17th.

The beta extends to everyone October 24th through the new PlayStation Store. If you've got a PS Vita then multiplayer beta begins tomorrow - no Plus sub required. Sony list restrictions.

A notable character of mischief is missing from the PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale from developer SuperBot Entertainment. Crash of Crash Bandicoot fame isn't in the line-up.

This isn't for lack of love for Crash. The studio knows the fans want him, but the trouble lies with IP ownership. SuperBot "very interested" in Crash making the cut but a deal has to be brokered.
