While it's strictly a spitball idea right now, Cyberpunk 2077 from CD Projekt RED could have NPCs speaking a variety of languages that the gamer, unless multi-linguistic, couldn't understand what was being said.

That is until you get yourself a fancy translator implant, of course, which would give "better or worse translation" depending on its sophistication. Will this idea survive the cutting floor?

Focus Home Interactive and Spiders Studio announced Bound by Flame today, an action/role-playing game that has been in development for months and will be released for the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 at the end of 2013.

Bound by Flame lets you play as a mercenary possessed by a flame demon in an ambitious Dark Fantasy universe. As a victim of this demonic influence, players will have to choose between the powers offered by this evil or to reject the demonic influence, developing heroic talents instead.

The final multiplayer downloadable content pack for Mass Effect 3, Reckoning, is now available today for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, and is free.

Director and co-writer Scott Derrickson for the planned Deus Ex film says "everything is kind of happening all at once," on the project. They have their draft of the script that "everyone seems excited about".

While the film is based on Human Revolution it's not after the video game, as their "chief philosophy" is that they're "making a cyberpunk movie," not a 'game movie', says co-writer C. Robert Cargill.

The demonic action-RPG is heading to PlayStation 3, and even PS4, and now Blizzard has set loose the very first in-game screens of Diablo III running on Sony's to-be-replaced flagship platform.

Diablo III on PS3 will make its first public appearance this March at PAX East at the official Blizzard Booth. It'll support both online and local (couch) four-player co-op multiplayer.

Chris Priestly of BioWare has warned against thinking of the next Mass Effect instalment as a numerical increment to Mass Effect 3. It causes "a lot of confusion" among fans thinking of it as a straight sequel.

The Commander Shepard trilogy is done with, affirmed Priestly, which is the only 'revealed detail' about the next title. It's about 'what happens next in the Mass Effect Universe', and not 'after Shephard'.

According to rumour, Square Enix will be moving the long awaited Final Fantasy Versus XIII onto the next generation of PlayStation, with it launching sometime in 2014. It will also get a name change.

Another announcement will be held this year to reveal the changes, they continue. Square's reply has been 'no comment'. Apparently Final Fantasy XV and XVI are also in development.
