EA's first MOBA title is called Dawngate, beta registery now open

Waystone Games, a splinter group formed from Visceral Games, has got its first title and it's called Dawngate. It turns out that it's a MOBA, and so will be EA's first dip of the toe into such waters.
It's built from scratch to "look and feel familiar" and so shouldn't freak out MOBA fans. From their wording it seems Dawngate will feature heavy customisation and an 'evolving story'?

Sonic the Hedgehog is gearing up for a new adventure it seems as SEGA just yesterday has filed for the trademark of 'Sonic Lost World' in Europe. Details are non-existent for the game but we know its name at least.
Now let the speculation run wild. So 'Lost World' sounds dinosaury, right? Okay then Sonic gets 'lost' in a 'world' full of dinosaurs. Mystery solved. Next trademark please SEGA - that one was too easy.

Christofer Sundberg from Avalanche Studios, developer of Just Cause and Renegade Ops, has said his recent teasing images via Instagram were of a "steampunk-style game" they had in mind.
Of course in the next breathe he then proceeds to rip our steampunk loving hearts out by declaring it 'on ice', until further notice. Being an independent studio at least means they can revisit it.

Jason Rubin champions 'underdog' 4A Games, worked without 'power and heat'

Metro: Last Light's 4A Games is that developer from... erm, er - where are they from? That's precisely the problem, says Jason Rubin - the former Naughty Dog man thrown the hot potato that was THQ.
Rubin is doing what he can to tell the story behind the game of Metro, and it's far, far from an ideal situation for any developer - or any company for that matter. Electricity would've been nice.

Subterranean Games' Dungeon Keeper-styled War for the Overworld has finally achieved release of its Bedrock Beta for Kickstarter backers and for those who pre-order. The beta is a Steam-only launch.
The full game will also be releasing outside Steam with no DRM, but the beta uses Steamworks because it's "a far better environment" to test the game in. Bedrock Beta includes a sandbox map.
