Rod Fergusson, Gears of War manager, has said in an interview with Gamasutra that they've soared pretty high and soon teams could reach the Xbox 360's limit.

He still feels there's "room to grow" as the whole process is "a slow cycle; you only get a kick at it every couple years". Perhaps 2012 will herald the next next-gen after all?

Resi Evil 5 embraces "Gears-like" control scheme says Capcom

Producer Jun Takeuchi has revealed that gamers and fans shouldn't be all that "surprised" to find a new control scheme for Resi 5 at this year's Tokyo Game Show.

He added that he wouldn't be "confirming or denying anything" but later he did let slip that the new scheme would be "Gears-like", presumably to ramp up the action.

From Software are bringing Ninja Blade, a modern day ninja-fest in Tokyo to the Xbox 360 complete with blood thirsty monsters.

The player assumes the role of Ken whose learning the ways of the ninja as he battles a parasitic plague in Tokyo which will be "around 12 or more hours" of gameplay.

Halo 3 'Assembly' map unveiled at PAX, Bungie unsure of release

The new multiplayer map for Xbox 360's Halo 3, which was known as Purple Reign, was showcased at the PAX event over the weekend.

The Bungie team currently have "no information" on when they'll release the map for Halo junkies. "When we know, we'll let you know. We promise."

EA has laughed off accusations that it's some psychological or propaganda device preparing the West for an invasion of the country; "you have to remind yourself it's a damned video game."

While the first game did eventually make its way to keyboard and mouse, Bleszinski seems quite adamant that GoW2 won't follow.

He says that Gears of War is "first and foremost" a great franchise for Xbox 360 and that's why they're not going to bother with a port "this time around," pity.

Crytek's Harald Seeley speaks with Edge-Online and says the "PC platform was more inviting" in the beginning, mainly as they didn't have the capitol for consoles.

The winds of change are blowing though as the Germany-based studio will be embracing console development too, partly to help fight off piracy.
