Trophies confirmed for Prince of Persia

After the recent confusion over whether or not Prince of Persia will support the ever-popular trophy system on the PlayStation 3, we can finally confirm that it will. Much has been made about the potential of rewarding players for their actions, and it's fair to say that the majority will rejoice about this.

Many major sources may have led us to believe that the Prince was to return without an award in hand, but the latest build from the Tokyo Games Show 2008 enables us to believe otherwise. It seems many of the early trophies are based around new gameplay mechanics that allow the player to get into the rhythm of the Prince's new flow.

In an interview with MTV Multiplayer, WoW director Jeffrey Kaplan hinted that the future MMO the guys are working on could touch on consoles too.

He dismissed the idea of World of Warcraft making a home outside the PC saying he doesn't think it "would really work that well on the console". At least for now.

PlayStation boss Kaz Hirai has said that providing the industry performs well to "generate excitement" then studios will remain relatively unaffected.

This fall and winters line-up is definitely something to get excited about. Oddly Hirai first admits "price becomes more important" but then resists PS3 cuts.

Bleszinski: Industry doesn't value "visionaries as much as it could"

We gamers and our fellow pundits don't value our video gaming visionaries all that much according to Epic's Cliff Bleszinski.

Unlike the film industry he says where if you make a bad film then you go to "movie jail" for a term, if you "screw up once" in gaming no one likes you ...ever again. Natural selection?

Kotaku reports that Hideo Kojima has told Famitsu that he might unveil his latest game at the next Tokyo Game Show.

Kojima said: "Until the end of this year, I have my hands full with Metal Gear Online, but at next year's show, I think it's okay that I should be able to announce something."

Another year to wait until we find out what Kojima has up his sleeves, unless it somehow leaks out of course.

CVG reports that Silent Hill: Homecoming will no longer be released in Europe during 2008, instead it will be available next year in February.

Localisation has been labelled as the blame for this delay, although it has been out in America since late last month. While some think that the delay may have been made due to the average reviews that have been appearing from the US press, and Konami might be taking this chance to update the European version with improvements.

PC version of Saint's Row 2 left in limbo

THQ have not confirmed a release date for the PC version of Saint's Row 2, although the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions will be coming out on the 17th of October, and some retail chains list the PC version for the same date, were as others list it for November.

So we decided to ask THQ about a release window for the PC version, and they told us that no date has been given for the PC version, so they couldn't comment on it being delayed.
