In a striking blow to Bethesda, an illegal Xbox 360 copy is doing the rounds over a number of torrent sites. This leak started three weeks before retail release.
It's a near shocking indictment to just how poor security is surrounding manufacturing of the game discs. Fortunately the majority of gamers won't risk modifying their consoles. | |

Eurogamer is breaking the news that Electronic Arts Red Alert 3 will be arriving for PC on October 31st. This release will be followed by a Xbox 360 version on the 14th of November. EA previously announced that a Playstation 3 version has been put on hold and no new information regarding that version has yet been revealed. | |

Doug Creutz, analyst with Cowen, is cautioning that EA may suffer this Christmas season due to the "limited sales potential" of their upcoming release Dead Space in an article on Gamesindustry.biz. "Although recent press reviews have been positive, we question the degree to which the new owned-IP horror-suspense title will be a hit due to what we view as niche appeal," said Creutz. Creutz also cited his expectation that the Activision Guitar Hero World Tour release will outperform Rock Band 2 as another reason for lackluster EA performance. | |

The recent cancellation of, Tiberium, a first person shooter set in the Command & Conquer universe has given industry analysts plenty of grist for the mill. A recent Gamasutra article shows that no one really knows what it means to Electronic Arts or the industry as a whole. The article quotes Mike Hickey, an analyst for Janco Partners, when he said that EA lacks "management execution and/or product quality," and added that the cancellation "damages new management's credibility." The same article goes on to quote Michael Pachter, an analyst for Wedbush Morgan who gives a contrary opinion when he stated that the cancellation "goes a long way toward preserving the quality of the overall lineup." | |
