Crytek's Harald Seeley speaks with Edge-Online and says the "PC platform was more inviting" in the beginning, mainly as they didn't have the capitol for consoles.

The winds of change are blowing though as the Germany-based studio will be embracing console development too, partly to help fight off piracy.

Just when TV couldn't get any more awesome, LEGO Batman enters the field. The cartoon show will be based on the actual games engine from TT.

The production will be handled by "a separate studio in the States," according to producer Rich Earl. Traveller's Tales is a UK developer studio with Hollywood ties.

Blizzard's Tom Chilton defends faster levelling with Lich King

Once the expansion launches it will become easier to attain the dizzy heights of level 70 on World of Warcraft, something lead designer Chilton feels is necessary.

He explains that Blizzard doesn't want the game to become "more intimidating for new players to take on." It benefits current players too of course.

The studio is looking for a temporary artist to "extend and expand" the front end of the game. A diploma in pixel tinkering required they say.

This could be for an upcoming expansion in the CoH universe or perhaps they want to sprinkle some new UI flavour in a patch sometime in the near future.

In a special "Worldwide Invitational wrap-up edition" of Blizzard's online podcast, Jay Wilson reveals Diablo 3's Act One getting refined.

He says that most of the art team has begun working on the second act as the whole team has become "really production focused", churning out loot and such.

The underground rumble is that the movie tie-in for Dark Knight has fallen behind schedule and the big wigs have pulled the plug on the whole thing.

That's the buzz according to Australian Gamer's multiple sources where they say the "game has been cancelled by the higher ups".

Director Guillermo del Toro has declared himself a gamer and his love for "Ico and Shadow of the Colossus," the only games he considers masterful.

In an interview with EDGE magazine he spills more of his gaming life. While not a "big fan" of GTA IV's gameplay he can't deny the engine being "incredibly beautiful".
