Namco Bandai has released a playable demo for Ridge Racer Unbounded on the PlayStation Network and via Steam for PC, while an Xbox 360 demo will be released on the Xbox Live Marketplace on 23rd May.
In this single player demo, players will get a taste of Ridge Racer Unbounded with two races in the City Limit District. Take control of the Wolfseye GT (street class), or take the wheel of a Hurricana CX (super class) in the Shatter the City race.

UbiSoft has announced that Techland's dirt racer, Mad Riders, will be landing on PlayStation Network on the 29th May, and Xbox Live Arcade and PC on the 30th. The developer is best known for its open world zombie apocalypse game Dead Island.

Console gamers interested in the upcoming demolition derby variation of DiRT will have to wait an extra month to play it, as Codemasters has announced that DiRT Showdown will be delayed to the 15th June on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Test Drive Unlimited 2 developer Eden Games is no more as Atari close their doors. This decision comes in the wake of the latest fiscal report from the publisher, which sees revenue down.
They report $51.3m in revenue from FY2012, down from the previous $77.8m. Losses were almost halved at least, from $8m to $4.8m. Eden Games' assets will be sold off entirely.

Veteran developer Stainless Games has announced that Carmageddon Reincarnation, a project the studio had been working on since last June, is now fundraising on Kickstarter. The company is looking for $400,00 to get the game released by February 2013.

During today's Electronic Arts earnings call, the publisher revealed that the upcoming Dead Space and Need for Speed sequels will be hitting in March 2013.

Codemasters has gone live with a worldwide demo release for DiRT Showdown, available through Xbox Live, PlayStation Network and Steam for PC. There's a trailer for it as well.

Sega has announced Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing: Transformed, a sequel to their arcade kart racer featuring Sega characters such as Sonic himself, Dr Eggman, AiAi, Vyse from Skies of Arcadia and Gilius Thunderhead from Golden Axe. The game is once again being developed by Sumo Digital.

The 0.1 alpha build of Trackverse, which can best be described as a cross between Trackmania and WipeOut, is now available for download from indie developer Nakama Studios. The game allows players to race on and build their own WipeOut-style tracks and distribute them among other players.
