Photographer Paul Ferradas has said a photo he took of a model has ended up being used without consent from him or the model.
Apparently an ex-boyfriend of the model was playing Juiced 2 and recognised her in the "loading - please wait" images of the game. No comment from THQ at the moment, which may be scrambling to investigate themselves. | |

Looking to put gravity-defying exhilaration into action, Disney has enlisted Black Rock Studios to develop "Pure" on next-gen consoles and PC. Unlike traditional ATV games where the emphasis is usually on simulation, Pure is an arcade racer with nothing but 'extreme' on its mind to let players exercise the dare-devil within.
There's a whole host of characters to choose from and then gamers can either match off against AI or go against up to 16 players online. Wes Miller, pro rider and the founder of H-Bomb Films, is also offering his advice throughout to Black Rock Studios helping them maintain an authentic quad culture, while still having room for 'crazy'. | |

Empire have revealed that their latest FlatOut expedition, which was exclusive to Xbox360 and released last June, is now being retuned by Bugbear studios for release on PC. This port is said to have all the same trimmings and carnage as the original and will hopefully see retail shelves sometime this Summer. | |

Burnout Paradise has been played. Govan Roberts gives his opinion on this the latest edition to the Burnout series from developer Criterion Games. Found to be an excellent representative of the series and genre, his view is that, combined with hundreds of potential hours of single player content and an excellent online experience, the game is worth the price of admission. SouthPeak Games has announced that it will be publishing Things on Wheels, an upcoming arcade racing game for the Xbox Live Arcade. Players will control radio-controlled vehicles as they complete tracts set within a gigantic house; doesn't this sound familiar?... Micro Machines!! Developed by Load Inc, they promise that gamers will have plenty of radio-controlled racing fun when it's released in Summer 2008. | |

We've got more news from Financial documents today, but this one bring some sour news to the gaming industry. THQ has decided to scrap a few of its titles, and two franchises will also be wiped out of the development line. Stuntman Ignition was released towards the end of last year and received average reviews from the media, for this reason THQ has scraped the series. | |

Activision's recently released Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare has knocked Halo 3 right out of the top spot for this weeks most played Xbox Live titles. Halo 3 is now in second position, with Guitar Hero 3 being 3rd and Gears of War coming in 4th position. | |
| Microsoft Announces first ever Xbox Live Arcade awards | |

Microsoft is celebrating the release of 112 games on the Xbox Live Arcade by announcing a reward program that will allow gamers to vote for their favorite games on the service. Voting begins Tuesday, 22nd January at 10:00 a.m. and runs until Wednesday, 30th January at 07:59 a.m. The finalists in each category were selected by a panel of consumer and video game industry journalists and the winners will be determined by popular vote. Microsoft will announce the winners at the Game Developer Conference in February. | |
