Diablo III demo leaked? Updated

Pat from Videogaming247 is reporting that a unknown page is offering download information for a leaked Diablo III demo. The file is reported to have been leaked by an internal beta tester.

Update: Four Youtube trailers have appeared, a chap that claims to have cancer is sharing a lot of information about the game. We aren't sure if he's actually played this leaked beta or not. This could all be fake, but stay tuned.

SouthPeak Games today announced Raven Squad: Operation Hidden Dagger for the Xbox 360 and PC, coming to stores this fall. Published by Evolved Games, Raven Squad is set in the near future. The game is a unique blending of real-time strategy and first-person shooter genres.

Does 2K's technical support let slip of GTAIV for PC to tricksters?

This has got to be one of the most farfetched of scenarios but here goes... some 'clever' tricksters emailed 2K's technical support about game problems they were having.

They complained of some surround sound issues with PC's GTAIV to which after a few responses later they receive a reply stating the PC version "is still in development". Oops.

UK based Venom Games closing shop, no comment from 2K Games

Venom Games was founded in 2003 in Newcastle upon Tyne and was acquired by Take-Two Interactive in 04. The studio is to shutdown at the end of this month for good.

They were responsible for Xbox360's version of Prey, for Rocky: Legends on Xbox and PS2 and was apparently asked first to head up the BioShock PS3 development.

Blizzard's Morhaime: The PC games market "is far from declining"

In an interview with Eurogamer, co-founder and chief executive Mike Morhaime rebuked claims that the videogames market for the PC platform was drying up.

He believes it's "just completely dead wrong" to think of it as declining, that only "PC retail" looks gloomy and even then he thinks that it's "just flat," and not "declining very much."

In his latest blog post Peter Moore has expressed his take on the decline of sports games on the PC, touching on high definition consoles, investment and piracy.

Despite knowing that some fans will again label him the "devil incarnate," Moore posted what he sees as the "core issues". Has the PC sports genre dried up for good?

Blizzard: Player-killing is out

In response to a number of concerns raised on the World of Warcraft forums, Blizzard rep Bashiok has hinted that ‘Player-killing’ might not appear in Diablo 3.

"We're - in general - not big fans of griefing for any game. It's really only "fun" for one person, and that definition of fun isn't generally something we're going to want to encourage"

Bioware Console MMO has "potential"

Bioware CEOs Ray Muzyka and Greg Zeschuk have recently expressed an interest in bringing an MMO title to the home console.

In an interview with MTV, Muzyka commented on how they "think there's potential for an MMO on a console".

NCSoft informed Strategy Informer this afternoon that it will be showcasing its Aion: The Tower of Eternity MMO to select members of the press. Showing between July 29-31, this will be the first time for western journalists to see Aion since the summer of 2007.

In an interview with GamesIndustry.biz, MGS Europe business boss Peter Zetterberg has said they will keep on staggering PC and console releases.

He uses Germany as an example why they want to increase their console sales saying if they launched a Halo game simulatneously then "80 per cent of sales would be on the PC."
