KDV Games announced today that it's currently developing a sequel to the RTS Perimeter, which has been named Perimeter 2: New Earth and is scheduled to be released for the PC. No release date has been given. Hundreds years of traveling through time and space are over, but not the actual story. The fate of humanity that has been forced to leave dying Earth and flee to the deadly worlds of the Psychosphere is once again in your hands. | |

Yes Blizzard has opened the signup process to beta test the upcoming expansion to MMORPG World of Warcraft. No one is guaranteed a place on the beta short list.
Lich King introduces tons of new stuff, including a new Death Knight class. Both North American and European users have the chance to opt-in the beta selection pool. | |

The saucy, cheeky and sinful free roaming action title from Midway is getting pushed back to a 2009 release. This Is Vegas will be hitting PC, Xbox360 and PS3.
The game was revealed earlier this year and seems to embody Grand Theft Auto qualities with a thirst for fast cards, fast women, fast fists and average to fast cars. | |

Pat from Videogaming247 is reporting that a unknown page is offering download information for a leaked Diablo III demo. The file is reported to have been leaked by an internal beta tester. Update: Four Youtube trailers have appeared, a chap that claims to have cancer is sharing a lot of information about the game. We aren't sure if he's actually played this leaked beta or not. SouthPeak Games today announced Raven Squad: Operation Hidden Dagger for the Xbox 360 and PC, coming to stores this fall. Published by Evolved Games, Raven Squad is set in the near future. The game is a unique blending of real-time strategy and first-person shooter genres. | |

This has got to be one of the most farfetched of scenarios but here goes... some 'clever' tricksters emailed 2K's technical support about game problems they were having.
They complained of some surround sound issues with PC's GTAIV to which after a few responses later they receive a reply stating the PC version "is still in development". Oops. | |

Venom Games was founded in 2003 in Newcastle upon Tyne and was acquired by Take-Two Interactive in 04. The studio is to shutdown at the end of this month for good.
They were responsible for Xbox360's version of Prey, for Rocky: Legends on Xbox and PS2 and was apparently asked first to head up the BioShock PS3 development. | |

In an interview with Eurogamer, co-founder and chief executive Mike Morhaime rebuked claims that the videogames market for the PC platform was drying up.
He believes it's "just completely dead wrong" to think of it as declining, that only "PC retail" looks gloomy and even then he thinks that it's "just flat," and not "declining very much." | |
