Paradox Interactive and Paradox Development Studios today announced Crusader Kings II: The Republic expansion.

Petroglyph confirms layoffs, still "excited" about End of Nations

Although development for End of Nations has switched from Petroglyph to Trion Worlds, the studio says that it's still excited about the release of the project in a statement that confirms the developer has laid off 19 staff.

"The team at Petroglyph is very excited about End of Nations, a title which earned more than 50 nominations and awards while in development, and looks forward to its upcoming release." read the statement.

Today is the release of Firaxis' first downloadable content for XCOM: Enemy Unknown. It's called Slingshot and has been made available for all versions of the turn-based strategy revival.

Three new maps are included which link to a new set of Council missions, as well as a new squad character and more customisation options. It's time to work with the Triad.

Blizzard seek to wrestle control of 'Heroes of Warcraft' domain

Warcraft creators Blizzard Entertainment aren't happy that the domain is currently outside their control. Last month the studio registered for some reason.

Speculation has the studio looking to revive the iconic PC RTS series Warcraft. Blizzard has filed a complaint with the National Arbitration Forum in an attempt to be 'given' the domain.

Paradox Interactive and developer Kerberos Studios believe now that Sword of the Stars II has finally achieved what it was meant to be at launch a year ago. Existing owners receive an expansion for free.

End of Flesh is the new content for Sword of the Stars II, adding the new Loa race, 25 new techs, 10 new weapon systems, new independent races, new encounters and other galactic stuff.
