We reported early this week that a demo for Lost Planet was removed from the PlayStation Network due to problems with connecting to lobbies online. Capcom has now fixed the demo and PS3 users can once again download it from the PSN. | |

Uwe Boll. That name either elicits sheer terror (for the wrong reasons) or general indifference within the games community, and amongst the horror movie buffs. Responsible for past misadventures bringing video games to the big screen (Bloodrayne, House of the Dead); Boll with the aid of Ubisoft is bringing the PC classic Far Cry to movie-goers.
The trailer, which has become available on YouTube, has already undergone a barrage of fact based critical analysis – “crap” I believe was mentioned many times. From the looks of the trailer, it’s bad, real bad and not in a ‘rebel you wanna love’ kind of way. | |

Remember Gearbox said they had a big announcement coming soon not too long ago? Well, Game Informer just released the cover of their March issue. Guess what it is. That's right, we're getting an Aliens FPS. It took long enough. The original movie is getting close to its 30th birthday and the number of games on it, while high, haven't really lived up to their promise But with Sega and Gearbox behind the wheel on this one, we may just be getting the first taste of a great Aliens game. Can't wait to find out more on it. | |

Sony have confirmed that indie developed "Riff: Everyday Shooter" will be arriving onto PS3 via their PlayStation Network this Thursday, February 14th. Developed solely by Jonathan Mak, Everyday Shooter won three awards at the Independent Gaming Festival at the 2007 Game Developers Conference.
It will be available in the States for USD 9.99 and GBP 4.99 in the UK. | |

Capcom are letting the hordes loose onto the next-gen consoles. There's no official release date but Chris Kramer, the senior director of communications and community, has said Capcom have an exciting year ahead that will include Resident Evil 5.
"Just being able to see Resident Evil 5 running, I'm like 'Oh my god!'", Kramer said. | |

Rockstar Games have told Kotaku that they'll be experimenting with the downloadable content that is released for Grand Theft Auto 4 on the Xbox 360. "RockStar doesn't seem sure that there are enough users with access to online content on the 360 to make it worthwhile for them to continue pumping out episodes” Kotaku reported. | |

The Imagina 2008 3D Technology Conference was held and Cevat Yerli, co-founder, president and CEO of Crytek, was the guest speaker. He talked about the Crysis Franchice, Far Cry movie, Crysis movie, and the CryEngine 2. Crytek is working on presenting the CryEngine 2 Cross-Platform at the Game Developer's Conferrence. | |
