What's that? You're in the Realtime Worlds APB beta and have just finished that custom car paint job? Well sorry but it's gotta go says Dave Jones.

All custom made content from the beta will be wiped clean, mainly for compatibility issues. The studio boss knows it's "not what you want to hear".

Recently Rayman and Beyond Good & Evil creator Michel Ancel was said to have left Ubisoft, but that's untrue say the studio - all's fine.

Ancel is still at Ubisoft and Beyond Good & Evil 2 is very much in development also confirmed a rep. 2 years since sequel revealed.

Rockstar is maintaining their King of the Hill status with Red Dead Redemption in the UK, keeping THQ's UFC Undisputed 2010 as runner up.

Other new entries Alpha Protocol and Blur fail to enter the UK top ten, sitting at 13 and 14 respectively. FIFA 2010 is nudged down to 3rd place.

Heartbreak alert - Rockstar Games have apparently decided to ditch an announcement for E3 2010 which would have launched a new game.

This rumour comes from Nuts associate editor Rory Buckeridge. Recently 'leaks' have put Grand Theft Auto V: Vice City at this E3. Salt pinches!

THQ Partners wants "high quality" over high quantity title releases

Publisher THQ has started up their own Partners program as they note the huge success rival EA has had with their own; they're "an inspiration".

Obviously they're "doing a good job" so THQ want some of the pie, and they want a "small group of partners" for making top games "year-over-year".

Blizzard extend StarCraft II beta by one week, now ends June 7th

A stay of execution has been given to the StarCraft II beta which was due to cease yesterday, but will now instead close down next week.

Once it closes it'll be offline for "several weeks" say Blizzard, as they set about to make "configuration changes" for the final phase of beta.

Having previously said they "would consider it," regarding some form of co-op for Dragon Age or Mass Effect in the future, it looks to be a step closer.

A recent job posting for BioWare Montreal was looking for a 'Multiplayer Programmer' with the Mass Effect franchise attached, with co-op lingo?

From what whispers magazine PSM3 have heard, the latest Devil May Cry that's being handled by Ninja Theory isn't out for two more years.

At least it isn't on Capcom's two-year schedule anyway, but that doesn't "rule out a surprise" reveal at E3 2010 they say. Ninja won't confirm DMC5.

Publisher Ubisoft has surprised us all with a quick mention of the next Driver game getting some spotlight treatment at this year's E3 in a release.

Rumoured for years they've just come out and said it'll be there, after total silence. They talk it up as a "blockbuster franchise", despite waning fandom.

Cliff Bleszinski of Epic Games says every developer should be pushing their projects to reach the limit of what the Unreal Engine can accomplish.

He says that Gears of War 3 should "absolutely" stretch their current generation to the breaking point. Each game is "an evangelist" for UE3.

Olivier Comte of Namco Bandai has praised Ubisoft's highly controversial PC DRM as "a good strategy" in the wake of no real alternative in place.

Admits it is "certainly not" the best method by demanding always-on Internet, but argues it's "better to do something" than nothing. Namco must decide.

They've launched a site with a countdown to E3 2010, with over 400 hours left on the clock. It's to be a purely online publishing outfit, or some such.

Wargaming.net gives insight into World of Tanks level-up and upgrade systems by unveiling an updated outline of American, German and Soviet tank fleets. The tech trees illustrate development options for each class of military hardware presented in the game and provide various research paths with sequences of models the player will have to acquire on the way to his "dream" tank.
