This is no fib, publisher Ubisoft has revealed that R.U.S.E will be releasing June 4th. It's all about bluffing your opponents to achieve victory.

The public beta test has just started via Steam for PC giving access to six factions, seven maps and three multiplayer modes. Time to bluff.

Deus Ex fans should be all ears and eyes this Thursday, stalking events from GDC, because Eidos Montreal's Stephanie D'Astous says so.

The top executive reveals they'll have a "little surprise from DX3" around 20:30 PST this 11th. Hopefully a decent and revealing trailer will debut.

Frack me! Battlestar Galactica, the new one that is, has been green light for browser-based MMO treatment by German studio Bigpoint.

NBC Universal owns both SyFy Channel and part of Bigpoint so there's no obstacle. The MMO is to use the cross-platform Unity engine.

Developer Infinity Ward has posted a tongue-in-cheek website detailing the horrible affliction of 'mapathy', and how it'll be cured soon.

A dose of Xbox Live March 30th will do you good, because it's when Modern Warfare 2 gets its map pack DLC. PS3 and PC get it much later.

Team BioWare has just launched yet another free piece of DLC for Mass Effect 2, this time a heavy weapon called the 'Cerberus Arc Projector'.

It's basically a sweet new heavy weapon that shoots lightning - so instantly it's awesome. It can be downloaded freely from the Cerberus Network.

Electronic Arts today announced that it's signed an agreement with 38 Studios to publish the company's first video game, an epic single-player role-playing game codenamed 'Project Mercury'. 'Project Mercury' is being developed at Big Huge Games, a wholly-owned subsidiary of 38 Studios, under the leadership of Ken Rolston, former lead designer of Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind and Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.

Jagged Alliance rights acquired by German publisher bitComposer

Development has started on Jagged Alliance 3, a strategy game with role-playing elements. The IP rights have been nabbed by bitComposer.

Community man Robert Bowling has announced that Modern Warfare 2 has achieved 25m unique users "across all platforms"; mostly Xbox 360.

Infinity can only track those who go online, so "this is online only!" Bowling is ecstatic that it's "dominating COD4's numbers!" It's been out 4 months.

Developer Rebellion has revealed that four new multiplayer maps will be available for standard edition owners of Aliens vs Predator.

Special Edition owners already have these online levels. The 'Swarm Map Pack' goes on sale March 18th, adding two new Survivor maps.

Rocksteady's sequel to the awesome Batman: Arkham Asylum could have a touch of 'the duo' as IMDB listings peg Vincent Martella as Robin.

Now IMDB itself is full of fact and just plain fiction, so it's not credible enough. Warner Bros has said this is "inaccurate" info to their knowledge.

City Interactive has announced its first video game for the Xbox 360, with the revealing of Sniper: Ghost Warrior, which is also in development for the PC. Based on the covert, shadowy world of the military sniper, Sniper: Ghost Warrior throws players into the chaos of a military coup, as they aid the rebels in restoring the rightful government to the embattled country of Isla Trueno.

"With all-new programming airing nationally on the History Channel and the Military Channel regarding the training of snipers and their missions, interest in the art of sniping has never been greater," said Lisa Rivera, vice president of Sales for City Interactive. "Sniper: Ghost Warrior puts players into the ghillie suit of a sniper as they attempt to accomplish a wide array of sniping and assault missions."

Developer DICE's Battlefield: Bad Company 2 has shot straight to the top of the UK all formats chart, with Xbox 360 copies leading the way.

Just Dance from Ubi still claims 2nd place, with Heavy Rain now 4th and Sega's Aliens vs Predator 3rd. DICE working on server troubles.

PC adventure veterans LucasArts are allegedly going to announce a Special Edition of Monkey Island 2 shortly, perhaps even at the GDC.

Much like the original's re-release, it would sport all-new slick visuals and better audio. It will be heading for Xbox 360, PS3, PC and iPhone.

Developer Sidhe will be bringing their Arkanoid-inspired arcade game from PSN to PC through Steam, with all new gameplay modes.

PS3 won't need to buy PC Shatter as they'll spruce up "the PSN version," they reveal. There's no timeframe for that content update yet.
