Valve's Doug Lombardi has revealed that their upcoming zombie kill-athon has already exceeded the Orange Box for pre-orders, speaking with VGChartz.
He said this was mostly down to the 10% off promotion which had "driven largely" the retail pre-order sales. The demo and a massive ad campaign will help that trend he adds. | |

US District Court Judge David Campbell ruled back in July that bot did in fact breach the terms of license players must agree to in order to play World of Warcraft.
MMOGlider, as it is now known, is thought to have shifted more than 100,000 copies at $25 a time. It helped automate many of the more laborious tasks like grinding. | |

Warren Spector has speculated (I couldn't resist) that the "hardcore folks" of his previous creations won't see eye-to-eye with this new game.
While he expects some backlash he adds that he's actually "looking forward to getting into that discussion with them." A discussion? You mean a pelting right? Right? | |

Tim Willits of id Software has revealed in an interview with 1UP that Rage won't be such a mammoth in size after all and could hit the digital pipes.
Willits said that John Carmack's comments at QuakeCon were "not true" and it is possible to pull off, they just haven't made their minds up yet if they want to. | |

That's right you'll be playing an avatar playing an avatar online. Otherworld is based on the novels by US author Tad Williams and is due on PC sometime in 2010. | |

Speaking with Shacknews, Bethesda's Peter Hines has said that the team is looking at digital distribution avenues for "folks that want to go that route."
He can't confirm what copy protection method will be used but stresses that the team always wants to remove a "hindrance or an annoyance to the player". No DRM then? | |
