Number None, who brought the world Braid, is looking for a new member for their indie A-Team to handle "very interesting work" that involves "full-body" motion tracking tech.

This is most assuredly Project Natal. The applicant must have "substantial" experience with 3D game development says Number None. They're working on 'The Witness', using motion.

David Brickley of developer Rebellion, the studio behind upcoming Aliens Vs Predator, has admitted there is a rivalry between them and Aliens: Colonial Marines developer Gearbox.

They "all want to produce" the best possible game, and you've got to "keep pace" with others. There's been some "gentle ribbing" at trade shows, and "drunken ideas" exchanged.

Assassin's Creed II Lineage part one is live

Ubisoft has published the first part of its Assassin's Creed II Lineage series, with the first showing being 14 minutes long.

Developed by Ubisoft's Hybride Technologies, the visual effects studio behind 300 and Sin City, Assassin's Creed: Lineage combines live action and computer generated imagery (CGI) to explore the events that happen just before the Assassin's Creed II game starts. The short films revolve around Ezio's father, Giovanni Auditore da Firenze, and give insight on the game's back story and universe.

Telltale is working on something that will "blow everybody's mind"

Developer Telltale Games, who've risen to prominence thanks to their resurrection of classic franchises in episodic form, have got something in the works that's 'mind blowing'.

Unfortunately we won't be told what it is, at least not yet. The studio is busy "out in the streets," chatting with folks about franchises. So far they've brought back two LucasArts classics.

It's finally here but Microsoft can't breathe a sigh of relief yet, having secured yet another source of subscriber revenue, because the Sky Player is experiencing some outage.

In fact it's crashing quite a bit according to user reports. It doesn't stream channels in HD sadly, and that's because Britain's broadband is "simply not good enough" says Sky.

Developer Rockstar Games has announced their pledge of sponsorship to the "annual month-long" celebration of the manly moustache, created to highlight men's health issues.

In the spirit of this rugged man month, Rockstar are holding a moustache competition where the winner will be "immortalized as a character" in the upcoming Red Dead: Redemption.

Third-person mode is in Modern Warfare 2, only in private matches

Infinity Ward's Robert Bowling has confirmed that Modern Warfare 2 does feature an optional third-person view, but this isn't something "you can toggle on and off" willingly.

In fact the third-person mode can only be activated for private online matches, and it can't be switched mid-match. If turned on then everyone will be limited to the viewpoint.

Dead Space and DiRT go Games on Demand, XBLA gets two titles

This week sees EA's interstellar horror Dead Space up for sale on Xbox Live's Games on Demand service, with Codemasters' Colin McRae DiRT joining it; they're both live today.

Meanwhile, Rainbow Islands Towering Adventure and Inferno Pool are this week's newest Xbox Live Arcade arrivals. They'll be up tomorrow though pricing hasn't been noted yet.

Free DLC for early Fairytale Fights owners

Playlogic Entertainment announced today that Fairytale Fights will have free downloadable content for a limited period of time (90 days after release) for those that purchase the game within 90 days of launch.

The free DLC is valued at $15 and can be received by registering on the official website. The content will then be sent to you once it becomes available, via redeemable codes.

Ubisoft trademarks Galaxy Racers

Ubisoft has filed a trademark registration for a game called Galaxy Racers, although this is the only information we have at the moment. No platforms, nothing.

If we had to take a guess we would say that this is probably in development for the Wii, based on the title of the game. We've contacted Ubisoft to see if we can get a comment, hopefully they can tell us a bit more about this.

BioWare's Dragon Age: Origins goes gold, PS3 "alongside" others

The impending early November arrival of Dragon Age: Origins will be simultaneous across Xbox 360,PS3 and PC announces BioWare. The PS3 version won't be held back after all.

That news may be true for North America but the RPG developer is yet to extend the joy to UK shores, saying they'll have something "on that shortly." It's out November 6th in Europe.

Developer Bethesda is keeping any activity on a new Elder Scrolls game very close to their chest, but a newly synopsised novel from Greg Keyes has given fans a whooping hint.

The Elder Scrolls: Infernal City, Keyes' book, "partly bridges the gap" between Oblivion and the "next game". The events in the novel itself are set 45 years after The Elder Scrolls IV.

Where would mankind be without blabber mouths? Actually, we'll leave that for philosophical debate. A clip of Modern Warfare 2 has been leaked, showing a new mode?

The gameplay clip shows a third-person view, but the image quality from the cam is rather poor. A 'cage match' multiplayer type is alleged by the clip from an accompanying screenshot.

It's now almost a tradition just before a game releases, to have the achievements list spilled onto the Internet. Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed 2 is the latest to be 'initiated' into the fold.

Naturally the list contains a few spoilers here and there, so nosey gamers be warned. Expect to see 'No-hitter', 'Kleptomaniac' and 'Sweeper' popping on screen, giving you a pat on the back.

EA Sports have confessed how super proud they are of FIFA 10, and until now it had secured itself 'King' in the UK all-formats chart. Konami's PES 2010 has pulled a coup.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2010 has entered in at number one, and with the additional arrival of Xbox 360 exclusive Forza Motorsport 3 taking second place, FIFA 10 is relegated to third.

For those who've slapped down a pre-order with Steam for Left 4 Dead 2, or with a participating retailer, then you'll be getting a taste of the infected sequel by tomorrow.

Everyone else will have to wait until November 3rd when it releases on Xbox 360 and PC, except for Silver Xbox Live users, who must wait until November 10th. Pre-loading has begun.

The studio minds behind Wii's Boom Blox are looking for new HD horizons as a job listing for EA reveals, noting their last two releases "were Wii-based, " but now that's changing.

Positions for a Software Engineer, Rendering Engineer and Senior Engineer for PS3 have been attached to the wanted ad. It's likely the "closely-knit" studio wants to explore motion techs.

Indie developer Hello Games is a four-man operation, and Sean Murray of the team has said that "it is a shame" the door to digital downloads is "getting a lot harder to open".

These words are being echoed by many now, with Murray noting it's "a closed market." There are only so many slots, and they're maintained, to "hopefully increase quality" for users.

Valve and EA are left with disappointment as the review panel, looking into the OFLC refusal to classify Left 4 Dead 2, has returned with a unanimous vote to keep it restricted from sale.

Developer Valve foresaw this turn of events and has already provided an edited version, which has been accepted by the OFLC and certified MA15+. Uncut, it couldn't "be accommodated".

Keighley: VGA 09 announcing "a lot of games", some are totally new

Last year's VGA event busted open Dante's Inferno, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and Fight Night Round 4 to gamers worldwide, and debuted a whole new God of War III trailer.

This year will be no different teases GTTV's Geoff Keighley, who reveals VGA 09 has "got some amazing stuff" to show. We'll also be getting news on games we "haven't seen yet".
