Uh-oh! According to technical specs for Microsoft's Kinect while it can track "up to 6 people," i.e. the gaming family, it only supports "2 active players".

The camera keeps tabs on "20 joints" each "active" so it seems that 40 joints are its limit. Retailer Play.com has listed the specifications online.

2K Czech has announced it has scrapped plans to include multiple endings in their up-coming godfather-style sandbox game Mafia 2.

Speaking to IncGamers, Senior producer Denby Grace said the other three had been dropped because they simply weren't good enough.

THQ: Metro 2034 on way and in 3D

THQ's core games VP, Danny Bilson has announced a sequel to Metro 2033 is in the works and it will fully support 3D. 1 of 4 THQ games for 3D.

Nvidia and THQ have Metro 2033 "in 3D right now" as a "key demo" product. A 3D sequel will cost extra but they're there at "low risk and high quality".

Brand new downloadable content is en route to Lost Planet 2 which adds a 'Rush Arena' mode where up to 4 players can battle all bosses.

It also adds a 'Post Modern' skin which is useable online straight away, but must be unlocked for campaign. It's due out the "end of July".

David Reeves of Capcom says that this new tech in the form of PlayStation Move, Kinect and 3D is to revive "pique interest" before next console cycle.

We can expect the next "clash of the titans" in two years or so he says. The platform holders must be "working on something", so it's a matter of time.

Disney gives word that Pure developer Black Rock Studios is on the lookout for an "experienced Technical Art Director" for a new game.

Whatever it is, all most certainly a racer, it's coming to Xbox 360 and PS3. The devs latest game was Split/Second: Velocity - all about splosions!

That whole mess with Infinity Ward bleeding out developers is behind Activision, remarks Dave Stohl. They're all about "trying to rebuild" now.

Getting recruits for IW is "not a problem." The studio is a culture, "a way of doing things," and they want it preserved. Expect great new franchises.

Lionhead Studios' Milo & Kate which debuted at E3 '09 alongside Microsoft's Project Natal is just a "technology demo" with no retail release plans.

That's what Xbox boss Aaron Greenberg says, adding Milo is "safe and sound" back in Lionhead headquarters. It's "not a game" in the works.

It's all still "hush hush" right now and they can't talk more on their "top-secret game." It's "intended for consoles" they tease, and they can't wait.

Lionhead Studios' Black & White game, featuring you as the 'hand of a God', would be "super cool" with Kinect ponders creator Peter Molyneux.

It involved the player "reaching in and touching" the world which would "really factor" with Kinect he said. It's unlikely he has the time for it though.

EA Sports mega boss Peter Moore claims that gamers, that's you and me, "understand totally" why EA is implementing the Online Pass system.

He's not sure that we're "angry" about it because we know "what's going on" in the marketplace. Part of his job is getting us to keep games.

THQ is hoping to build up buzz for Red Faction: Armageddon by releasing a Red Faction Arcade game for PlayStation Network and Xbox Live three months before the release of the game.

"There's going to be a Red Faction Arcade game that ships about three or four months before Armageddon." said THQ's VP of core games Danny Bilson. "What's interesting is that we will sell it to the fans, it will have content you can download that is TV show-related, it will build up to the new game and also we can use it to drive pre-orders, too; we can give codes and aspects of it, we can give the whole thing away."

Yes a Resident Evil 6 is under way but Jun Takeuchi who produced RE5 won't be having a hand in it, which is something he had said before.

Takeuchi-san is busy elsewhere in the Capcom kingdom, and firstly Japanese devs have a lot "we must do" to change for the better he says.
