Some new downloadable content is en route to SOCOM: Confrontation, with Sony announcing it will release with new weapons, maps, characters, music, trophies, modes.
It adds a Russian/Eastern European operations area, and a new Arms Race gameplay mode. Expect some top notch "snow effects, snow gear, and thermal vision" when it arrives.

This week's episode of GTTV with Geoff Keighley has got underwater action from BioShock 2, and will be airing lots of "new single player info and footage" to viewers and more.
Aside from the shots of gameplay, we'll also be introduced to new characters. The second game has the player as the very first 'Big Daddy', and releases worldwide on February 9th 2010.

EA Sports man Peter Moore has warned others that staying on the current platform you will "face certain death," but now more are choosing "probable death" with disc and digital.

The dreams of PS3 gamers in Europe have been bludgeoned a little as Sony confirms that no God of War III demo will be reaching our territories this side of Christmas, just Japan.

Developer Zen Studios has announced their latest PSN title to be 'Planet Minigolf', where players can swing their clubs in pursuit of realistic mini golf, thanks to pinball expertise.
Their "battle-tested ball-physics" from their ZEN Pinball series has helped create Planet Minigolf. The PSN title has up to "144 unique holes" packed with various "unusual hazards".

Obsidian Entertainment's action-RPG Alpha Protocol was scheduled to be imminently with us, but then retailers went and started slapping a 2010 date on it. Sega finally speaks.
The publisher confirms the game no longer has a home in '09, and it'll instead be releasing in spring 2010. Obsidian "very happy" it has been delayed to give it the "best chance" next year.

Next week for Xbox 360 and PS3, Gearbox's colourful Borderlands will launch and then it arrives for PC gamers the week after that. The first DLC piece has just been tattled on.
It'll involve a whole region swarming with zombies, where the player will have to help out a Dr. Zed. Quests are about trying to "cure the inhabitants" of this unfortunate turn of events.

Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima can't hide his affection for Zone of the Enders, and says it's "top of the list" in his mind, though he really wants to work an original title project next.
It would be "too late" to think about a sequel after Peacewalker and Rising, so Kojima-san will "probably have to plan before" they end. He'd likely take the "producer side" of things.

Developer Infinity Ward plan on celebrating the Call of Duty series by releasing the original game they made onto Xbox Live Arcade and the PlayStation Network. It's almost here.

Polyphony Digital's Kazunori Yamauchi, creator of Gran Turismo, has confirmed they're wrapping up the last bits of development, but "daily progress is slow" due to its scale.

Developer Traveller's Tales, now experts of all things LEGO, teamed up with Rock Band's Harmonix and have been hard at work infusing plastic bricks and studs with music.
