Developer Xdev has announced a new patch is "incoming" for the PlayStation 3 exclusive Crash Commando, addressing some niggles and enabling Rumble pad action.
It tackles "a couple of things" the team has noticed since launch says producer John McLaughlin. The Heist Map Pack now unlocks properly when purchased within the game store.

The latest entry in the FIFA series from EA has become the fastest-selling sports game so far. It cleared 1.7 million copies its opening week, and has scored high with most critics.

Game Informer recently revealed that its latest issue will confirm the development of Disney's Epic Mickey, although it originally said that this would be a Wii exclusive, but has now altered its teaser page and removed the claim.
Could this be released for the PS3 and Xbox 360? If it does then we assume that it will take advantage of the new motion tech coming to both consoles, but we'll find out more on 28th October when a press event is held to reveal the next game from Disney.

The newly announced Resident Evil 5 Alternate Edition is to use PS3 motion control "from top to bottom", according to Chris Kramer.

Konami today revealed plans to revive their 16-bit Rocket Knight series on the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.

Visceral Games could be working on a Jack the Ripper game as its third title, according to trademarks and sources close to EA reports the LA Times.
The firm is currently working on Dead Space 2 and Dante's Inferno, so it's likely that this Jack the Ripper game won't be released until sometime in 2010 or 2011.

The PlayStation Motion Controller could be codenamed "Sphere" reports Joystiq. Sony haven't confirmed a name for the Motion Controller yet, but Sega developer Yasuhito Baba refereed to the controller as "Sphere" during an interview at TGS in September.
Sony representatives were unfamiliar with the name, so it's likely that this just a development name that won't be used for the public.

SCEE Studio London producer and Creative Art Director Nicolas Doucet has revealed that Eight Days and The Getaway 3 haven't been completely cancelled, but have in fact been put aside.

A2M, developers of WET, have confirmed that it's currently looking at working on more original IP.

SCEA president Jack Tretton said that he "couldn't be happier" with the recent sales boom that the PlayStation 3 has received since the price-cut and PS3 Slim were introduced at GamesCom.
"Skyrocketing sales, couldn’t be happier with the numbers that we’re seeing, and I think proof that there was tremendous consumer demand, they were just waiting for the price-point to come down" said Tretton.

Ubisoft today announced the acquisition of the development studio Nadeo, creator of TrackMania, the popular multiplayer car racing game for the PC.
Nadeo started up in Paris during 2000 and is well known for its multiplayer technology. TackMania is still reaching over 700,000 uniques players a month and fans have made over 15 million custom tracks since 2008. It was also the first eSport franchise for racing games.

Bioware has announced that a Dragon Age: Origins Character Creator will be released on October 13th, giving PC users the chance to design their characters in anticipation of the game's release in November.
"What we have managed to do is get the awesome BioWare dev dudes/dudettes to break off the Dragon Age: Origins Character Creator from the main game so you can download it as a separate application to your PC," explained BioWare community coordinator Chris Priestly.
