Developer Snowblind has announced in their blog that the two challenge maps for The Lord of the Rings: War in the North that was to be preorder downloadable content will now be on-disc and free. The blog celebrates, "After seeing the passion from the Community and Fans for this mode of play, we have decided to put them on disc for everyone to enjoy!"

According to Eurogamer, the PC version of Assassin's Creed: Revelations has been delayed, if an entry on the Czech Ubisoft Facebook page can be believed. According to the page, the PC version will be released on December 2, a few weeks after it's released on November 15 on console.

Atlus has announced that The Cursed Crusade, set in 13th Century Europe, is now releasing October 25th instead of next week in the US and Europe.

Director James Cameron has said the Avatar videogame was a victim of bad timing, as it hit shops "well before the movie" and so was an 'unknown'.

Publisher MonkeyPaw Games has announced that Burgertime World Tour, an update to the classic coin-op arcade game, will be delayed til "a late October/early November date." The reason for the delay is that Monkeypaw wants the game to have "a fresh new multiplayer experience, including competitive online play and leaderboards."

The ESRB has rated Ubisoft's strange I Am Alive, which has been sort of a mystery since its E3 announcement a few years ago, a Mature rating. Precious few details about the game save a trailer depicting a normal man surviving an apocalyptic catastrophe in Chicago have been seen. Since then, not much was known about the game, leading to speculation about it being vaporware.

Thor Gunnarsson, CCP's vice-president of business development, has revealed that the firms Newcastle division is building new technologies for next-generation consoles and PC hardware, with the project going into "full capacity soon".
