UK supermarkets had biggest game sales gain in '09, up 7.6 percent

Videogame sales in the UK saw the largest gain by British supermarkets, climbing from 2008's 10.1 percent to last year's 17.7 percent.

Online retails saw a bump too, from 24.6 to 26.1 percent. Dedicated stores like GAME fell 35 to 33.9 percent. Woolworths left a big void.

The ever magnanimous Mythic has decided that it will stop charging for Warhammer Online game client, leaving the subscriptions as the only source of revenue.

The free trial can be downloaded from their website, and it lets you get all the way to Level 10 before requiring payment.

Infinity Ward's community manager Robert Bowling has responded to Modern Warfare 2 detractors, claiming that those who supposedly hate the game, are still playing it.

"I think when any property is number one at anything (it will face backlash)," Bowling told CVG.

The LA Times reports that Culp fell and hit his head whilst walking outside his Hollywood home, and was pronounced dead soon after reaching the hospital...

That's right, a man from EA has trash talked the PC DRM for Command & Conquer 4, which the publisher announced didn't have any in it.

A constant connection for singleplayer doesn't count as DRM? Green got "booted twice" with "progress lost" on his campaign. "DRM fail."
