EA reconfirms Dead Space 2 for PC

It was originally thought that Dead Space 2 wouldn't be developed for PC, but EA has confirmed that it is coming to PC after all.

The game is currently set for a Q1 2011 release, and is listed for consoles, PC and handheld/mobile devices.

Ubisoft has officially confirmed Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, the next game in the multi-million unit selling franchise. Botherhood will ship in late 2010 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. The game is being developed by several studios, which includes the Ubisoft Montreal Studio in collaboration with Ubisoft studios in Singapore, Bucharest, Quebec City and Annecy.

The single player mode promises to be improved, with Ezio returning in a struggle against the powerful Templar Order. Now a legendary Master Assassin, he must journey to Rome, center of power, greed and corruption to strike at the heart of the enemy. Defeating the corrupt tyrants entrenched there will require not only strength, but leadership, as Ezio commands an entire Brotherhood that will rally to his side.

Blizz entertain StarCraft II console idea, mouse 'lends itself more'

It's always coming up in discussion eventually, about Blizzard moving their mega IP onto the home consoles at some point. How about StarCraft II?

Blizz are thinking about it, though "from our perspective it feels like" PC fits better with keyboard and mouse. They await an "optimum moment".

Some senior publishing source reckons that platform holders Microsoft and Sony will snip prices again in time for presents under the tree.

Sony UK has laughed off claims it could announce such plans, if they exist, as early as E3. Nintendo also have "no plans" to cut UK Wii prices.

Epic Games president Mike Capps believes their Unreal Engine 4, in the works since 2003, will maintain their market lead when it gets here.

Capps has "a lot of respect" for rival Crytek, but he's surprised that "people take them seriously" as a cross-platform engine outfit, like Epic.

Microsoft and manufacturer LG have entered into a 'memorandum of understanding' in South Korea, so Xbox 360 will help sell 3D LG TVs.

This could well expand beyond into the Asia Pacific region, if things go well. The 3D LED sets from LG bundle with 3D 360 games this June?

Currently EA uses the Project Ten Dollar initiative to encourage first-hand sales while being able to reap some money from second-hand too.

Now their latest idea is to add Online Passes to upcoming games with online content or services, so customers "pay EA to access them."

Aliens vs Predator developer Rebellion has very unhappy ex-employees at their former Derby studio, with accusations of 'no pay' flying high.

They haven't received April's pay packet, nor have redundancy monies gone out allege the ex-Derby staff. Rebellion trying to "get out of paying".

Microsoft's Syed Bilal Tariq has revealed that Project Natal arrives to the world this October, with a more specific date coming after E3 in June.

Previously a Japanese exclusive, Capcom will now be releasing Monster Hunter skin DLC for Lost Planet 2 tomorrow completely free to fans.

The 'Rathalos' armour skin will become available for Xbox 360 and PS3 May 11th, in both Europe and the US. Lost Planet 2 is out this week.

There are three patches with the BioShock 2 developer right, one for each of the platform releases. Primarily they address multiplayer issues.

The singleplayer gets some attention too, so "color-blind friendly" hacking is on the way. The PC version gets the largest share of attention.

Play.com has listed Split/Second Velocity and blown wide the surprise of its first DLC, which adds "3 super-high performance vehicles" to drive.

DOOM developer id Software reckon that upcoming Rage blows DOOM 3 away, so it stands to reason that DOOM 4 will in turn slap Rage about.

At least that's the genuine hope, reveals creative director Tim Willits. Post-apocalyptic shooter Rage is the best title they've "ever made."
