Bad times for Australia's Team Bondi as a report claims the studio has had administrators appointed as of August 30th; they no longer occupy their offices.
It was believed that assets and IP were being sold to George Miller's KMM studio but it seems nothing materialised. Bad press has dogged the studio for months.

Activision's Eric Hirshberg believes we won't be seeing a return to the 'new IP floods' of old from big publishers because gamer attitudes have changed.

While Warner and Rocksteady's Batman: Arkham City will carry the Games for Windows box art, it won't be utilising the Games for Windows Live client.
What that means for Achievements is unknown as it means no logging into Live. Updates will also be delivered via other means. Will it hybrid with Steamworks?

All versions of Trine 2 from developer Frozenbyte should be hopefully launching this Q4 2011, as Focus is named Europe's PC publisher. Atlus is handling consoles.

There's still a twitch or two left in Ubisoft's I Am Alive as the Australian government's ratings board has recently updated its database with a new entry.
In fact they cite a "modified" version of I Am Alive being classified just days ago on August 22nd. It's got "strong themes" as well as strong violence now.

Rocksteady's Dax Ginn revealed at Gamescom that Batman: Arkham City may take 65 hours to complete if the player goes through all of the side missions in addition to the main storyline. This figure is not inflated by the Challenge Maps.

D3 has announced today that their action-RPG tower defense game, Dungeon Defender, will be released on October 19 on PC, Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network. The publisher also announced that the game would be playable at PAX Prime this coming week, at the Reverb Publishing booth #3652.

Even though the downloadable game Saints Row: Drive By was canceled by THQ, it seems there will be another, unrelated Saints Row downloadable title hitting Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network and PC called Saints Row: Money Shot.

Croteam has announced that developer Devolver Digital's Serious Sam Double D will launch on PC on Tuesday, August 30. Double D, the first game in the Serious Sam Indie Series, will be available on all major digital distributors for $7.99.

D-Pad Studio has announced that the PC demo for Owlboy is available, directly from the official site.
According to the developer, "The demo starts off right after the pirates have attacked Otus's home village, Vellie. Otus and Geddy are approaching the 'Owl Temple', in order to find the 'Wind Machine', which will help prevent another pirate attack."
