Picking up where comic series Assassin's Creed: The Fall ended, The Chain will continue the shoot-off goings on in the Assassin's Creed universe.

Comic notables Cameron Stewart and Karl Kerschl continue collaboration with The Chain. A prologue for the new series will accompany The Fall this November.

Vigil Games stated that Darksiders III will feature four player co-op, but were vague about why it wasn't being included in Darksiders II. Director Marvin Donald went into depth about why in an IGN interview.

Writer Darby McDevitt of Assassin's Creed: Revelations has said they've included more of the Brotherhood this time around with more chances to involve themselves.

They've also varied the recruits a lot more throughout the game. The CGI Revelations trailers are also 'more aligned' with what actually happens, unlike Brotherhood.

Dead Island PC Steam preorder bonuses revealed

Preorders for the PC version of Dead Island are now available on Steam, and bonuses for ordering now are listed on the page. The bonuses include a special weapon called "The Ripper", which seems to be a circular saw on the end of a baseball bat, and DLC in the form of a Survival Mode level called "Bloodbath Arena".

Activision has announced the release date for Prototype 2; the game will be hitting stores for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on April 24, 2012. The game will feature the showdown between Prototype hero-turned-villain Alex Mercer and Prototype 2 protagonist Sgt. James Heller.

THQ and Volition Inc have announced three celebrities lending their voice-over talent to Saints Row: The Third, and confirm Daniel Dae Kim is Johnny Gat.

Meanwhile actress Sasha Grey will play the role of Viola DeWynter, who runs the Syndicate's financial empire. Hulk Hogan is Angel De LaMuerte, a wrestler.

Former environment artist Patrick Doran of Nintendo Wii developer Red Fly Studio mentions a "next-gen Star Wars title" was in the works but it ended.

Earlier this month the studio made redundant 30 staff, which CEO Dan Borth said was due to a "large high-profile project" getting canned, to their surprise.

The dark, grim classic Xbox Live Arcade platformer Limbo is now available on PlayStation Network for $14.99 USD; the game will be released in Japan on August 4. PlayStation Plus members will be given a 20% discount if they purchase the title in the next two weeks.

Darksiders II won't even be released til 2012, but developer Vigil already is making plans for Darksiders III, and one of the things they want to add to the series is four player co-op, with all of the Four Horsemen together.

PlayStation EU Blog has announced One Epic Game, a downloadable side-scrolling shmup PSN Mini which is compatible with PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portables. The game is a deliberate parody of gaming stereotypes in the genre, as well as full of pop culture references.

Batman: Arkham City CE bundle officially revealed

The Batman: Arkham City Collector's Edition bundle has been officially revealed by Warner Bros. Interactive, after GameStop had prematurely posted it on the retailer's website. The package costs $99 in North America for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. No price has been announced yet for the EU and UK releases.

Crystal Dynamic rebooted the Tomb Raider franchise as Lady Croft was "losing some relevance" to the world, and they wanted her "more approachable".

Lara "became an icon" of sorts and lost her "relatability." They remade her so she "wasn't perfect" as gamers want "a complex hero." Ground is 'fertile' again.

Microsoft Games Studios "shares our orc bloodlust", says Robot Entertainment as they'll be publishing it's Xbox 360 and PC versions of Orcs Must Die!

During Comic-Con in San Diego the game will be playable at the Xbox Lounge in the Hard Rock Hotel on July 23rd and the 24th. It's an action-strategy.

Capcom Vancouver reveal that as Frank West is a "tougher character" at the start of Dead Rising 2: Off The Record, they can squeeze many more zombies in.

The alternate spin-off see's the undead headcount increase "by at least 30%" in some areas, leaving "a few thousand" shuffling around in any one environment.
