SCEE: Platinum range will be heading to Europe, on 1st August
Sony Computer Entertainment Europe announced today that the recently revealed PS3 platinum range will be made available in Europe from 1st August, and the games will be reduced to £19.99.
"If you're a longstanding PS3 owner with gaps in your collection - or perhaps you've just joined the family - the PS3 Platinum range is your chance to pick up some of the very best games at a wallet-friendly price," said David Reeves, President of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe. "With great titles spanning a huge breadth of gaming experiences, this August is a great time to be a PS3 owner."

Ascaron Entertainment announced today that a PlayStation 3 version of Sacred 2: Fallen Angel is currently in development, and will hit retail shelves this fall.

Sony Entertainment Online boss John Smedley told MCV today that PS3 is the "perfect platform" for developing MMO's on a console.
“Probably the biggest thing we can bring to the table is just the experience of having operated an online gaming service for many years. "We’re happy to roll up our sleeves and offer assistance anywhere we are needed. We love making online games and we think PS3 is the perfect platform for doing that."

Famitsu claims that game director Tetsuya Nomura has revealed in a recent interview that Final Fantasy Versus XIII has been put “on hold”.
