Capcom posts annual fiscal results, Resident Evil 6
The previous forecast for their end of year fiscal by Capcom has been more-or-less on the money (no pun intended). An profit of £19.42 million was posted, which is down 52% year-on-year.
Resident Evil 6 "did not meet" their expectations with sales at 4.9 million, falling short of the 7 million they hoped for. DmC: Devil May Cry enjoyed "stable popularity" overseas, with no total sales mentioned.

If you thought you'd be retiring on that big fat cheque from EA because you domain parked yourself at Battlefield16.com, then think again. EA has been on the war path and annexed a few more slithers of the internet.
The publisher already held ownership of domains all the way up to Battlefield9.com, but their legal department decided to snatch some more just in case. Pure numeracy is cool, who needs subtitles?

There are some things best kept secret, and this is perhaps one of them. According to an exchange between a former Avalanche Studios bigwig and their current CCO, the Just Cause dev almost had Star Wars.
In fact they "almost got that deal" sealed, according to former studio manager Oskar Burman. If it had of gone through, LucasArts "would be alive today," replied Christofer Sundberg.

EA to stop licensing with weapons manufacturers, will keep using branded guns

EA has had some questionable marketing links with weapons manufacturers in the past, which by the way they vow never to do again, but now they're going one step further; they won't license guns anymore.
No more royalty cheques from EA for using real-world weapons, but that doesn't mean they won't stop using them. They intend to wield the 'fair use' argument in court, if necessary.

As of now the attack seems to have been thwarted with all platform servers back up and running. EA recently revealed 3.5 million have subscribed to Battlefield Premium.

The first new IP from Techland since Dead Island is all about those feel good moments from the likes of Quake, Hexen, Diablo and Heretic back in the 1990s. The Polish studio is infusing co-op with fantasy.
They want Hellraid to feel like it was "made by guys in their '30s," touching on those simpler Quake and Hexen days. We choose between four classes and take on hordes of foes.
