US President Obama has told a group of University students that consoles and iPods make information become "a distraction, a diversion".

All these new fangled digital devices not only put 'new pressure' on youth but on the United States and democracy itself, says the President.

Play.com has listed Split/Second Velocity and blown wide the surprise of its first DLC, which adds "3 super-high performance vehicles" to drive.

The online retailer promises that pre-orders with them get the 'Hyper Car Pack' DLC free via redeemable codes. The game releases May 21st.

DOOM developer id Software reckon that upcoming Rage blows DOOM 3 away, so it stands to reason that DOOM 4 will in turn slap Rage about.

At least that's the genuine hope, reveals creative director Tim Willits. Post-apocalyptic shooter Rage is the best title they've "ever made."

In the Guinness World Records 2010 Gamer's Edition, a brand new list of top videogame series has been put together after grilling gamers.

They asked "the players themselves" this time around, not industry insiders. Halo takes the top spot, followed by Call of Duty, and then Zelda.

After having been installed as president of LucasArts in April 2008, Darrell Rodriguez has now resigned along with top members of his staff.

He replaced Jim Ward who abruptly left in early '08. Right now Lucasfilm's Jerry Bowerman will hold the fort until a replacement is found.

Everybody "has got a sim" by now, so convincing gamers to buy "yet another" is real hard. Bizarre's racer Blur arrives end of May, packing fun.

Lost Planet 2 and Resident Evil 5 producer Jun Takeuchi said they felt "extreme pressure" working on a sequel Resi Evil after Shinji Mikami.

Mikami-san created Resi Evil 4 and that cast a deep shadow over Takeuchi-san's team. He won't return to T-rival zombies for at least a decade.

Frank Gibeau of EA Games says they're going to be in "the Medal of Honor business for a long time." The IP helped "build the genre" of FPS.

He admits that it "did fall on hard times" but EA will revive it "bigger, better, badder". The Medal of Honor series is rebooting "into the top 10."

Blizzard has revealed that Facebook and its legion of 'friends' will integrate with their new Battle.net service when StarCraft II hits the stores.

That means you can populate Battle.net friends lists real quick. There's no word if Diablo III or World of Warcraft will join in the social marriage.

Publisher Ubi has revealed one of their Tom Clancy games in the works as H.A.W.X. 2, the one with all those jet fighters doing fancy aerial moves.

Ubi's Bucharest team are developing H.A.W.X. 2 as the IP has become "very successful" for them. The sequel is "directly inspired" by Clancy's books.

THQ remind investors E3 will have Warhammer 40k MMO attending

CEO Farrell wants us to "see what we are seeing" as the Warhammer 40k MMO comes together - they will "fully unveil it." No release date.
