Blizzard has revealed that World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King won't be released on PC CD, it will only be available to consumers that have a DVD drive installed on their PC when it launches on November 13th. A class action suit filed September 22nd with the northern California District Court is asking for a judgment in excess of $5 million from Electronic Arts. The suit was filed by one Melissa Thomas and "all others similarly situated." The complaint sites that the installation of SecureROM as part of the Spore installation was not authorized by the Plaintiff and that SecureROM can have undesired effects on the consumer. The founder of Lionhead Studios, Peter Molyneux told GamesIndustry.biz that his next project will be "ridiculously ambitious". Most of Molyneuxs projects have been ambitious, he is known for Dungeon Keeper, Populous and Black and White. The new project from Lionhead has not been announced but Molyneux said, "We've actually been working on another project now for a while, and obviously it's ridiculously ambitious, but it's ridiculously ambitious in a very simple way," he revealed. In an interview with 1up.com Gabe Newell, co-founder of Valve Software, spoke about the possibilities of a port of Left 4 Dead to the PlayStation 3. While no port or even plans for any conversion were confirmed, Newell didn't shoot down the idea either which leaves room for speculation on a port of the title. | |

Mark Jacobs told MMORPG.com that Warhammer Online was never rushed or influenced by Electronic Arts. He was so firm on this point that he said, "In the end, we got to make the game that we wanted. Not that game that EA wanted, not the game that Blizzard wanted, it’s the game that we wanted." Then switching to talking about the release date of the game he added, "(Electronic Arts) could have said to us in June, ‘no guys, you’ve gotta ship it, patch it afterwards.’ They didn’t. And I don’t mean that I threatened so they didn’t, they never said that." | |
