Dexter to hit videogame shelves; not the red-hairded genius

Dexter, the Showtime TV show and a personal favorite show of mine, will be making it to your consoles as a game, unbeliavably. For those familiar with the show, you can imagine as well as I how a game about a police detective/serial killer could play out. If you're stumped, we're in the same boat.

According to IGN, Showtime Networks and Marc Ecko Entertainment will be making the announcement tomorrow, both of whom are putting their efforts together to make the project happen. While the award winning series would certainly benefit from more people suddenly knowing about it, chances are if you get Showtime now, you know about it already.

A free to play card based RPG that works inside the browser window, NGB say it’s also able to run through the Nintendo Wii and PlayStation 3 with a PSP version coming soon this March.

They plan to update the game with new content and battle cards including a new story mode with further updates expected monthly until the end of the year. Unlikely to have other titles quaking in their boots any time soon but at least it’s free I guess.

Blu-ray's 50GB capacity not enough to quench the thirst of MGS4

Hideo Kojima, creator of the Metal Gear Solid series, has revealed that Guns of the Patriots has had content cut and a lot compressed to fit the enormous game onto the Blu-Ray disc. So serious is this space issue that the Japanese voiceovers will not be available to European or North American versions and vice-versa.

In defence of the Blu-Ray discs, they will have to hold both MGS4 and Metal Gear Online which will see its beta launch in late April.

It appears that IGN has discovered an ad on the back of the God of War: Chains of Olympus game manual, suggesting that God of War 3 is coming to the PS3 soon.

The manual shows the God of War Omega symbol, with the PlayStation 3 logo below and some text which reads “coming soon”.

Soon it will be hitting the PS3, not only looking better, but packing in all the features you'd expect from a standard console racer. Meaning online play, big solo campaign, etc.
