There's been no confirmation from Sony themselves but an interesting scrap of information has made its way onto the Internet, fancy that. Apparently the PlayStation Store could very well be having a day or two at the coder’s saloon and spa for a complete design makeover.

From Kotaku and their sources, the graphical user interface will get a major overhaul to coincide with the US release of Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, which hits April 15.

Dark Sector almost didn't make it for PS3

Digital Extremes upcoming Shooter, Dark Sector, was almost canceled on the PlayStation 3 due to development problems, producer Josh Austin revealed to Ripten.

"This is the PS3 version, It looks just as good as the 360 version, which we're very happy about. Towards the end we started having some serious conversations about what we were going to do, but we ended up pulling it off, so we're very proud of that.

Rumour-Mill: Ubisoft to feel the power of EA's woo too?
Posted: 26.02.2008 07:26 by Jamie Comments: 1
Having just scraped some of the egg off their face with the $2 billion offer for Take-Two rejected, EA might just be holding Ubisoft as a backup date for merger. While there's been no official word or tremors within the corporate halls, EA does already own a sizeable 19.9% stake in the French publisher making such a move tempting indeed.

What with the recent successes for Ubisoft, like Assassin's Creed, it would be a hard one to secure and may make the courting of Take-Two look like a playground crush. The domain eaubisoft.com has been registered but through a proxy company. There's conspiracy afoot!

Sony opens up PlayStation 3 advertising, marketing battles ensue

Three key in-game advertising players, Double Fusion, AdScape and IGA, will have the opportunity to draft up contracts with games publishers on the PS3 platform. In-game advertising has always been a controversial issue for gamers, giant Pepsi billboards on a war-torn field of battle don't really add to the virtual 'tense' atmosphere.

Nielsen Media Research signed a deal with Sony last summer to measure in-game advertising, and Sony also hired ex-AdScape employee Darlene Kindler to focus on Sony's own ad efforts with emphasis on Home.

Those of you waiting to finally get your hands on Sony's Second Life clone, Home might and I'll stress the word might not have too long to wait.

A mysterious countdown timer has appeared on the internet counting down to to the 20th March.

As for its validity we have no idea, other than that it's rather strange the timer has appeared on a third-party site. Anyway, we'll be checking back on the 20th to let you know if it's safe to go on-line again or something.

Whilst you wait for the Second Coming, pop over to our Home game page and get in the Home zone, baby!
