developer Rockstar San Diego has placed a new job posting on industry site Gamasutra
for a new open world game.
The fifth consecutive Summer of Sonic will be held this year in London, July 7th. The exact location for the event has yet to be announced. It's for fans to enjoy all things Sonic.
Zoned areas offer different things for visitors like artist competitions, speed runners going head-to-head in gaming pods and the latest Sonic titles "are available for fans to try".
Nordic Games, which recently announced it had the distribution rights to the PC version of Alan Wake, has announced that the game will be released on the 16th February on Steam, then through other digital distributors at a later date. The game will cost $29.99 USD for the game and all of the DLC content, and $34.99 USD for the Limited Collector's Edition.
Radical Entertainment has announced a new special edition of Prototype 2 available for preorder, which includes a DLC season pass called the RADNET Edition. Gamers who buy the RADNET Edition new will find a one-time use code that will allow players to unlock 55 downloadable content packs. This DLC will be released regularly starting with the game's launch on the 24th April.
Team Meat's Edward McMullen's independent game, The Binding of Isaac, is closing in on 450,000 sales. The game was released on the 28th September on Steam, generating sales mostly through word-of-mouth.
Merge Games has announced that Edward McMullen's bizarre action-RPG The Binding of Isaac will be getting a retail release, in the form of a Special Edition.
The retail Special Edition version will be called the “The Unholy Edition,” and include a DRM free version of the game, a free Steam gifting key, the soundtrack, a poster and 40 page “Devzine."
Ubisoft has announced that Rayman Origins is in development for the PC and will be released on 30th March, 2012.
Players can control Rayman in the solo campaign, or have up to three friends join in or leave any time as Globox or as one of the two Teensies in the offline multiplayer mode using four controllers on one computer.

Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot claims that this year's Assassin's Creed game will be the biggest one in the series so far.
