Rockstar Games groupie 'Mad Doc' welcomed to the rockin' family

Mad Doc Software have been bought up by the infamous R* to form the studio Rockstar New England, bringing the global family to nine.

They recently built on their relationship with Mad Doc working closely with the GTA-creator to bring the new Xbox360 version of Bully, dubbed the Scholarship Edition.

'Alan Wake' still breathing, horror adventure 'blackout' to end soon

Whispers spoke of a possible September release for the insomniac protagonist, Mr Alan Wake. The rumblings were dispelled and the community cast into chaos as they were left wonder if it'll ever happen.

An official was happy to post on the Alan Wake forums that this media 'blackout' won't "continue for too much longer."

Pseudo Interactive closes down

Pseudo Interactive, the developers for the car combat series Full Auto, published by Sega and released on the Xbox 360 and PS3, have been shut down.

Pseudo were working on an unannounced project for Sci and Eidos, but both companies decided to scrap the project that Pseudo was working on. This eventually lead to its downfall, but it did try to continue by making several staff members redundant, but it didn't set a new deal with another publisher in time to survive.

Volition's sequel will launch August 26th with pre-orders already going live for the impatient amongst us. THQ also mention that the official site for the game is now finally open, though most of it is still not functioning at the moment.

They'll be updating it in the coming weeks, it certainly looks the business - let's hope the game follows suit.

A Polish magazine has blown the whistle on some juicy facts including some in-game screens. Gamers will be racing through more perilous tracks with the new tropical setting, mountains, jungle and even volcanoes get a look-in.

You can make your own character and splash your own styling’s on your drive, improved smack-ups and cams are on the table too.

Australian GTA IV sent for a touch of rehab, MA15+ censors Niko

Rockstar Games have confirmed that an edited version of GTAIV will be released in Australian territories to secure the MA15+ rating, the highest rating available. The game has already secured an 18 certificate here in the UK, avoiding any censorship.

Aussie fans are unlikely to miss out on much of Mr Belic's antics; still it suddenly feels better living the gamers' life in the UK.

Pandemic Studios have unveiled the new date for Mercs 2 and it will be spreading to PC, Xbox360, PS3 and the PS2. Gamers will be reshaping both the political and doubtlessly the geographical landscape of Venezuela too.

It will launch on August 31st in the US but open-ended mayhem will spread across the globe in no time, the good virtual kind that is.

Top Sith masters at LucasArts have confirmed that the game will be arriving in stores September on the 19th in Europe.

The Force Unleashed is one of the most anticipated games ever in no small part due to the coupling of the Euphoria and DMM engines. A dark side we can all get behind.

Thought Army of Two was a great idea? That's so two weeks ago. Playing with friends isn't the way to do it if you get to wear a super suit, fly around taking down tanks, helicopters, airplanes, aliens, volcano's and black holes (OK, maybe not volcano's).

As if the movie and game trailers didn't get you stoked for it enough already, the official Iron Man website just went live a few minutes ago. It's not completely done, but it might be worth a bookmark to see what downloads they have to offer.
