Failed MMO APB from the now defunct Realtime Worlds, creator of Crackdown, could still be salvaged after "nine months of hard work" by a focused team.

Realtime made "some key mistakes" and so if "key stuff changed" it could live again. It's avatar and customisation tech is "incredible" say Codemasters.

During Square Enix's fiscal report for the past 6 months, president Yoichi Wada said they're "quickly working on reforms" to MMO Final Fantasy XIV Online.

Right now the "current state" of the game warrants an extended "free trial period for all", said Square back in October. They've partnered with Shanda Games.

It's to let fans put their stories in Star Trek Online with the same "look, feel, and capabilities" of the Cryptic team. You can't import your own assets though.

Development of MMOFPS Tribes Universe is well underway and Hi-Rez Studios has opened up to more applicants for its alpha testing phase.

It was restricted to level 50 Global Agenda users but they need more to pad the roster. It's focused on the game's "huge battles on huge landscapes".

Hi-Rez, developer of Global Agenda, is making an all-new Tribes game with the goal of "100+ players" battling in the same map. It's a PvP MMO.

It's called Tribes Universe and exists because they "can't transform" Global Agenda to support "large scale fighting." It's a "significant rewrite" or two.

Cataclysm is the latest expansion for World of Warcraft that soon releases, but Blizzard already has the fourth major add-on well into planning.

What they've got up their sleeve next is "pretty f'ing awesome" declared senior producer John Lagrave. It's got the team "happy and excited" at Blizzard.

ArenaNet has clarified that they have made no decision regarding Guild Wars 2 and any post-launch DLC, like the original's "bonus mission packs".

The studio is "open to whatever" fans want in terms of more content. It could arrive as DLC or as future expansions - all of it is "yet to be determined".

Sony Online Entertainment will begin merging EverQuest II servers affecting sixteen shards next month, grouping populations together for "more fun".

Popular servers Antonia Bayle, Lucan D'Lere, Nagafen, and Crushbone will not be changing. It won't happen overnight as it'll take "many weeks".

A former EA BioWare-Mythic employee has launched an anonymous and bitter tirade against the studio, and took aim at BioWare's Star Wars MMO.

They allege the title is over $300m in development, and they're "most proud" of the huge voice-over work. The MMO is "a joke," with EA and Lucas 'panicked'.

The next whopper update to Blizzard's World of Warcraft has been dished on by the studio, and it reveals a number of big character class changes.

There are complete skill tree revamps, mechanic overhauls and no more harvesting of Soul Shards! These detail "complex changes" in the 4.0.1 patch.

CCP is releasing a Commissioned Officer Edition for EVE Online which includes a special ‘Cerebral Accelerator’ that boosts new player stats.

This is to let newbies get up to speed with how the game works, with the item only available from this edition and with the first created character.

Blizzard has slapped down dollar bills to hire rock duo Jack Black and Kyle Glass - aka Tenacious D - to bring this year's BlizzCon to a close.

Last year they had Ozzy Osbourne wrap things up. BlizzCon 2010 takes place in Anaheim, California on October 22nd and 23rd. Tickets sold out.

Developer Aventurine is releasing a 6GB update to MMO Darkfall called Hellfreeze, revamping the world of Agon visually giving it a "fresh new look".

Other major redesigns are included too like 17 "re-themed" and "re-designed" dungeons. Many monsters now level grind when they kill players.

Studio BioWare-Mythic says that a free-to-play model isn't "off the table completely," but right now they've got no plans to start the conversion process.

They prefer to focus on "content for our subscribers" to Warhammer Online. The studio is busy with their Skaven RvR pack that releases soon.

Jungle is the devices name and it was "designed specifically for online gamers", it comes with a QWERTY keyboard, touch pad, HDMI and USB.
