At least they wouldn't exist as they do now, is what he's going with. Wada-san says the FF team could create something "completely different".

Uncharted developer Naughty Dog won't be combining Nathan Drake and motion control anytime soon, ever, reveals co-boss Evan Wells.
If they were to make a game for the PS3 Wand then they'd start "from the bottom up" to make a great game, and not just tack it on.

Oops. A North American server for NCsoft's Aion, Azphel to be precise, accidentally gave out over 34 trillion in-game currency to some players.
Naturally the economy went nuclear and NCsoft was forced to do something horrible. They committed to a server rollback, "as a last option".

Speculation is running rampant again about a Cloud service being started by Sony for PS3, although small print hints it could go beyond that.
'PS Cloud' is already on the Sony patent list. This could have something to do with their plans for some kind of premium PSN service?

Ray Maguire of Sony has been dismissive of the Cloud platform saying that while remote storage is "increasingly common", consoles rule.
Gaming "on par" with quality we expect and demand is only achievable by "dedicated games consoles". OnLive and Gaikai launch this year.

Vigil Games' Joe Madureira, creative boss, has said they have an "all-or-nothing mentality" at the studio - multiplayer would have been too much.
Madureira also says "most game stories stink," and we have a long way to go as an industry. There is to be no DLC released either.

EA's Canadian Jason DeLong has predicted that "in the near future" prices of games will go down, with launch titles being shorter in trade.
These titles will then be bolstered by "episodic material" like DLC - think Burnout Paradise. Already Dragon Age has 2 years of content planned.

EA's Xbox Live MSP rebate deal extends, now covers all of January

If you snap up certain EA content over Xbox Live from now until January 31st, 2010 then you'll be getting 800 MSP back... eventually anyway.
You need to get three pieces of EA stuff to qualify, which you then need to wait "6-8 weeks for delivery" for your MSP rebate. Why so long?

Cinemaware co-founder Bob Jacob has told us something we all know well, sadly, that movie tie-in projects are bad and make us cringe.
The "inherent problems" relate to time, as movies take a year to reach cinema once green-lit. Games need much more incubation than that.

Mark Hamill "never been asked" to voice Luke in a Star Wars game

Actor man Mark Hamill, aka Luke Skywalker, has never been pitched voice-over work for a Star Wars game - and "that's fine" he admits.
He's "outgrown the role" as the Tatooine farm boy, he couldn't revive it now. Played Eidos' Batman: Arkham Asylum? Hamill was The Joker.

It's not even out the door yet and already Hollywood want to plunder its riches, though it's "really a THQ thing" and not developer Vigil's doing.
Joe Madureira is creative director at Vigil, and says he'd be "surprised" if nothing came of it. Darksiders is out this week for Xbox 360 and PS3.
