Most European countries, Australia and New Zealand will be getting the heftiest collector's edition for God of War III reveals Sony, while they last.

The 'Ultimate Trilogy Edition' is "very special" with a "high-end, sculpted replica" of Pandora's Box. It's got tons of goodies; no price yet.

Developer Criterion has posted a number of DLC ideas the team had for Burnout Paradise, all the ones that didn't quite make the sanity cut.

Things like planes, helicopters, bikes versus cars, underground, time-travel, boats and even "the Moon!" It's the "first Volume of Secrets".

Of course it's great for us gamers, which is why Konami is reworking Assault Heroes for a tour of duty on PSN. It hit XBLA back in '06.

Jon Burton of Traveller's Tales has concerns about Project Natal, and says he's actually "more impressed" with Sony's PS3 motion controller.

The coding behind Natal is "an incredible feat" but its lack of physical peripheral and "lag on the input" is "really going to restrict" genres.

Square: Final Fantasy XIII's first day sales "exceeded one million"

Square Enix has released a statement on Final Fantasy XIII's first official day of sale in Japan, revealing that it's cleared the 1 million mark.

Copies of the latest Final Fantasy were also bundled with PS3s, the 'Lightning Edition', but weren't included in the sales tally. Not bad, eh?

The week before Christmas and Sony managed to put together a respectable offering for the PlayStation Store, with loads of special offers.

More importantly it's got Gran Turismo 5 Time Trial and Army of Two: The 40th Day demos, with Braid now officially PS3 too. Don't forget Minis!

Paradox Interactive acquires AGE Studio

Paradox Interactive announced today that it has acquired full ownership of AGE Studio, parent company for French development studio AGEOD. This merger adds a variety of upcoming titles to the Paradox Interactive portfolio.

"We have played and enjoyed AGEOD's titles for years and greatly respect what they have achieved as a development studio. We see this acquisition as an opportunity to make AGEOD’s titles accessible to a wider audience on the global market," said Fredrik Wester, CEO of Paradox Interactive. "AGEOD will continue to operate as a self-run partner studio, with its own line of products based on the AGE-engine and its own development team while Paradox will assist with our publishing resources and networks," Wester continued.

Square Enix announced today that classic RPG Vagrant Story will be available to download from the PlayStation Network across PAL territories from 22nd December 2009, priced at £5.99.

As the VKP's (Valendia Knights of the Peace) elite Riskbreaker, Ashley Riot, you must pursue a group of cultists into a deserted city of Lea Monde in an attempt to rescue the kidnapped son of a Valendian dignitary. But all is not as it seems, and everything you once believed will soon be called into question as you contend not only with the cultists, but rival political factions, the city's restless fallen, and your own dark memories.

In an interview with Strategy Informer, Scott Cromie Producer at TopWare Interactive has been talking about the GRACE Engine, which will be used for the development of Two Worlds II across all platforms.

Cromie claims that the breakthroughs of this engine are changing the way we see and experience video games on consoles.

In 'Desperate Escape' Valentine and Stone are on a support mission. Josh is known for his resilient boat among fans, in Resident Evil 5.

SCEE has confirmed that the PSP Minis are no longer shackled to portable gaming. The PlayStation 3 now has its own version for them.

This means Minis bought for either PSP or PS3 are available for the other too. Simply browse the PlayStation Store for Minis from today.

Microsoft: Hardcore videogames "sell themselves" to core gamers

Halo 3's launch with Xbox 360 was about starting "with the core users" and moving on from there. They're the easiest to sell, unlike fickle casuals.

Microsoft's David Dennis said they "don't have to focus" marketing toward the core, at least not so much. They "buy disproportionally" to 360.

Giant Sony is launching a massively multiplayer online game for PlayStation Home, called Sodium One. It's got an array of sci-fi challenges.

It will feature "objective-based meta-games" as well as arcade and events for the community. Sodium One is available from today.

EA is rebooting the Medal of Honor series, and they're going all modern and Afghan with next year's release on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

They're put out a new trailer and it's got "100 percent in-game footage", showing vehicles, explosions, gunfire, booby-trapped corpses...

Modern Warfare 2 community manager Robert Bowling has confirmed that the upcoming patch is currently in the testing stages, so it should be available pretty soon.

"Update in Test now: 1887s Balanced. Public 'private' Match fix. Infinite Ammo fix. Prestige Hack on PS3 fix. Texture Hack on PC fix."
said Bowling.

Developer DICE put together the browser-based Battlefield Heroes, a free-to-play shooter, and it now enjoys over 3 million players.

In fact EA reckon that 50k new users sign up every week, and collectively 1,300 years worth of game time has been spent.

How has BioWare's latest instalment to Mass Effect earned a 'Mature' rating from the ESRB? Wonder no more, they've dished the goods.

It's still got some "alien/human" hip gyration, but specifics are "never depicted". We can expect "pools of blood" during our tour of duty.
