Publisher SEGA has just announced the 'Dreamcast Collection' which is made up of their four released HD remakes. It's out February 25th for Xbox 360 and PC.

Sonic Adventure, Crazy Taxi, SEGA Bass Fishing and Space Channel 5: Part 2 will be on disc. Hopefully SEGA will release a bigger 'Collection' soon enough.

Avatar film director James Cameron has seen Crytek's Crysis 2 running in glorious 3D and he "loved what he saw" reveals studio president Cevat Yerli.

What was Cameron doing there? "...that's another story," teases Yerli. Crysis 2 isn't their first 3D project, which is why it's a "benchmark 3D implementation".

Series co-creator Ed Boon has asked fans of Mortal Kombat who they'd like to see maybe show up in future DLC for the new upcoming Warner Bros' MK.

Mentioned were Rain, Shinnok, Kenshi, Robo-Smoke or perhaps someone new. PS3 is getting Kratos exclusively, but there's "no news" for Xbox 360.

NBA 2K11 goes 3D January 16th

2K Sports will release a free title update for NBA 2K11 that enables full stereoscopic 3D on PlayStation 3, and then just "grab those awesome 3D glasses".

The update is live January 16th and includes "some other minor tweaks" to the game. The 3D renders using "anaglyph" too so the old red/blue glasses work.

2010 is Xbox 360's "biggest year"

Microsoft has crowned 2010 as Xbox 360's "biggest year in its history" - passing the 50m sold worldwide milestone, and 30m Xbox Live users.

They've also cleared 8m Kinect units. Microsoft add that "more money was spent" on the Xbox 360 than "any current generation console in 2010".

George Hotz of Jailbreak fame is defending his actions that he 'Jailbroke' the PS3, saying right now you can "still legally" download his efforts from his website.

It's so you can "install homebrew applications" adding that piracy "doesn't work in my Jailbreak." He made "specific effort" to not enable piracy exploits.

Xbox 360 enjoys best ever December, out of stock but sells 1.9m

Microsoft won't be glossing over their December US sales from NPD as they've had their best winter month for the platform yet managing 1.9 million.

They were the only one to enjoy year-on-year growth, though overall hardware was down 6 percent. The NPD also listed the top ten charted games.

The NPD figures are out and the PlayStation 3 is third, well behind rival Xbox 360 who dominated December. Still, Sony uses upbeat terminology.

The PS3 is "perhaps" the only one that "grows more valuable over time" says Patrick Seybold. They immediately talk of 'coming out the gate into 2011'.

Grasshopper Manufacture is developing Codename D for Kinect but now it's true name may have been revealed thanks to trademarking - 'Diabolical Pitch'.

What we know of Codename D is that it involves an "evil amusement park" filled with creatures, and it carries a baseball theme thanks to a TGS debut trailer.

Developer Vitamin G Studios has announced their music and pollinating-puzzler The UnderGarden will be on the PlayStation Network this winter.

We'll be cramming dark tunnels with "colour and music" say Vitamin, where we'll also need to "grow beautiful flowers" to overcome puzzles. We play Ludwig.

Today's chest-thumping is brought to you by Ubisoft. They set out to be Kinect's number 1 third-party fan and "it worked," declares Ubi boss Laurent Detoc.

Codemasters hiring for F1 MMO

Codemasters Online has revealed that it's recruiting talent for a new development team that will be based at its headquarters in Warwickshire, UK. The team are tasked with developing an online game in the Formula One franchise, following the success of the F1 2010 release on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Described as a high quality browser based gaming experience, the unnamed game will focus on being highly accessible. Codemasters say that this is down to an innovative design approach to car control, and promises to offer gameplay for a mainstream online gaming audience.
