While Resistance 2 was received better in critical reception than the original, developer Insomniac Games note the overall opinions of the fans were something else entirely.

Developer Titan Studios has revealed they're giving fans a free new map to play on the PlayStation Network title Fat Princess, alongside the latest title update for the game.
This latest patch addresses a whole number of tweaks and balances, as well as adding "candy confetti" in place of blood, if you so choose. A new ranking system has also been implemented.

The intended deal between CD Projekt and Optimus S.A. has been made official, which means the developer owns the public company, getting the studio on the stock market.

Valve and EA are left with disappointment as the review panel, looking into the OFLC refusal to classify Left 4 Dead 2, has returned with a unanimous vote to keep it restricted from sale.
Developer Valve foresaw this turn of events and has already provided an edited version, which has been accepted by the OFLC and certified MA15+. Uncut, it couldn't "be accommodated".

From the creators of Warcraft III mod Defence of The Ancients, League of Legends is a free-to-play RTS/RPG hybrid strategy game that's just fired up its open beta phase to fans.

The LEGO Universe MMO has been in the works for three and a half years now, with a release on PC expected for next year. The game's story centers on rebuilding.
It plays in similar style to Traveller's Tales LEGO platform games, and doesn't adopt traditional RPG levelling. Players can either follow the story or build, brick by brick, their own creations.

Over on the Epic Games discussion forums, what appears to have been an accidental slip revealed something new coming from the developer studio. It was a small logo, now gone.
It was titled "It's Unreal. And it's almost here," and for now speculation points to either a new Unreal Tournament game or a new iteration of the Unreal Engine. We'll find out sometime...

If you expected to be dazzled by the EU PlayStation Store sometime soon, you're out of luck. However today does see the digital launch of GTA: Chinatown Wars for the PSP.
Beside Grand Theft Auto's migration from DS to PSP, not much else is happening on the EU Store front. There's the usual Rock Band and Guitar Hero goings on, but that's about it.

Developer Gearbox is fresh from celebrating the launch of Borderlands, where in the US the game is in short supply, but they're not shirking their past glory like Brothers in Arms.

Recently Steve Ballmer, Microsoft CEO, commented that Blu-ray drives "as accessories" would be coming to the Xbox 360 console, but Major Nelson affirms there's "no plans".
