Awesomely stupendous news for Resident Evil fans as Capcom confirms Resident Evil Director's Cut will be a PSone Classic next week, March 23rd.

The Director's Cut was an update of the original '97 zombie masterpiece that switched locations of nearly all items, altered wardrobes and added a beginner's mode.

Ubisoft has egg on its face after a user noticed the supplied soundtrack with the Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood Digital Deluxe Edition isn't so 'official'.

It appears Ubi encoded the soundtracks from illegal sources, i.e. a pirate torrent. The note 'encoded by arsa13' was spotted. A publisher's revenge?

BioWare's Star Wars: The Old Republic MMO is expected this calendar year but it won't be arriving 'before July 1st', reveals publisher EA's CFO Eric Brown.

He said it's unlikely to make it in their "Q1 guidance" for fiscal 2012, which means it can be expected sometime between July 1st and December 31st.

Publisher THQ has lost some market confidence as its stock value dipped $1.25, which is 21%, after 'what if' shooter Homefront reviews averaged 72.

80+ out of 100 is considered the threshold to define a game being 'viable' commercially. Despite the middling score sales are high, at least on Amazon.

Rod Fergusson has lamented the decline of the true beta process, telling us that you simply can't do technical betas anymore.

Gabe Newell has started hinting around that it would be "fun" to remake the original Half-Life in HD.

During Episode 48 of the Steamcast podcast, Newell replied to a question that if there were a remake of the game from 1998, if the cut content would be restored, "No, I think we'd just invent new stuff. I mean, I think we're much better game designers and developers than we were back then. It'd be fun to go back and do a remake."

Lima Sky is celebrating the two year anniversary of their extremely simplistic and crack-addictive platformer Doodle Jump by announcing not only a comic book based on the game, stationary sets, children's toys, but have also trumpeted they will be releasing an Xbox Live Arcade version that uses Kinect.

Spiral Knights launches April 4

Sega has announced it will be publishing Spiral Knights, a Legend of Zelda meets Diablo MMO in which players explore the ever-changing Clockworks to defeat monsters and earn loot, then do business in the Haven outpost, buying, selling, trading, and crafting better and more powerful gear. The game supports up to four player online co-op, and is developed by Three Rings, best known for the ridiculously popular and addictive Puzzle Pirates.

Bioware and Electronic Arts have gotten caught using a sock puppet to shill Dragon Age II. When browsing MetaCritic scores of Dragon Age II, Reddit user GatoFiasco spotted a suspicious sounding review by a user named Avanost, who gave it a perfect score of 10.0 and raved, “The immersion and combat of this game are unmatched! A truly moving and fun epic. Anything negative you’ll see about this game is an overreaction of personal preference. For what it is, it is flawlessly executed and endlessly entertaining.”

The BBFC in the UK has given the thumbs up to Shadow of the Damned and Duke Nukem Forever as each game gets a shiny red 18 certificate sticker.

The former has "very strong bloody gore" and very bad swears, while the latter has "strong violence, sex, nudity" and some naughty words too, and drugs.
