Gamers from the pop-tastic 80's will "fall to their knees and weep" when they see this "modern retro" release, hopefully in a good way.

According to art director Isamu Kamikokuryou from Final Fantasy XIII all that cut stuff from the game could likely make a whole new game!

What did gamers lose out on? A full zone around Lighting's home, a secret Nora resistance base and an amusement park Nautiuls with a zoo.

The western release of Final Fantasy XIII is no longer a fairytale because developer Square Enix has announced they've finished it, at long last.

Director Motomu Toriyama says one thing they focused on was facial animations, they're "completely synchronised" with English dialogue.

First is was delayed because of a last minute issue found in certification, but now a title fix for Xbox 360's Dragon Age has led to it being pulled.

Leaked footage of Sega and Obsidian's cancelled Aliens RPG has hit the internet.

The game was going to be released on the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC, but the developer confirmed last year that it wouldn't be working on the title anymore.

Japanese developer Feelplus Inc., who helped Mistwalker with Xbox 360's Lost Odyssey, has job posts looking for more game talent.

They're working on a "large scale RPG" for the platform. The studios owner, AQ Interactive, is looking for a 'Game Designer' for 3D motion.

BioWare working "pretty intense schedule" for Mass Effect 2 DLC

Casey Hudson of BioWare has said one of the "big improvements" with Mass Effect 2 is the support they built for new downloadable content.

In fact the first piece will be "pretty shortly after" its release later this month. The studio has already begun work on Mass Effect 3's story.

Joe Mad of developer Vigil has eased our fears, or at least those who've got Darksiders for Xbox 360, because a patch is soon on its way.

Right now it suffers from quite a bit of screen tearing, but it's not hard to fix. Madureira reckons it'll be here "really soon" so don't panic.

Square Enix date RPG game 'Nier' for spring in US, not sure on EU

Bullet Witch developer Cavia will have their latest project, 'Nier', release on Xbox 360 and PS3 this spring according to publisher Square Enix.

It's unsure if this applies to Europe. It's proudly stamped "the next RPG" from Square, full of "action-packed" combat and pretty magic.

Looks like we'll be getting some juicy Fallout: New Vegas info after all as OXM confirms, as does their latest mag, that the next issue has it.

Issue 57 has the goods, or will do when it goes on sale. Right now we'll have to make do with the teaser in issue 56, promising "first details".

Yoichi Wada is president of Square Enix and he may just have spelled 'end of the world' for Final Fantasy fans. They might stop making them.

At least they wouldn't exist as they do now, is what he's going with. Wada-san says the FF team could create something "completely different".

Vigil Games' Joe Madureira, creative boss, has said they have an "all-or-nothing mentality" at the studio - multiplayer would have been too much.

Madureira also says "most game stories stink," and we have a long way to go as an industry. There is to be no DLC released either.

It's not even out the door yet and already Hollywood want to plunder its riches, though it's "really a THQ thing" and not developer Vigil's doing.

Joe Madureira is creative director at Vigil, and says he'd be "surprised" if nothing came of it. Darksiders is out this week for Xbox 360 and PS3.

EA announces Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening

BioWare confirmed today that Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening, the first official expansion pack, will be released for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC on 16th March, 2010.

Designed and written by the same team that brought you Dragon Age: Origins, the Awakening expansion pack offers a brand new area of the world to explore known as Amaranthine, featuring an epic story that will allow players to unravel the secrets of the darkspawn - and their true motivations. A forum poster has splashed loads of 'details' about the game, but Reiner casts major doubt on that too. "I'd say fake" he declares.

Sega likes to move fast and has already begun brainstorming some ideas for, "eventually," Alpha Protocol 2. The first game is nearly done.

Bug squishing is all that remains for the spy action-RPG from developer Obsidian. It was due out last year but Sega delayed till Q1 2010.

Square Enix boss Yoichi Wada has revealed they're open to a Final Fantasy game being made outside Japan, but still overseen by them.

Wada-san cites Batman: Arkham Asylum as proof the West can make games for the Japanese market; "it caters very much" to them.

BioWare has just confirmed that it's delayed the Return to Ostagar DLC for Dragon Age: Origins, across all platforms.

Bioware wasn't able to supply a new date for the DLC, which was meant to be released today. We might see this content in the next few days, but more information was promised as soon as it becomes available.

First Fallout: New Vegas details revealed?

The first details on Fallout: New Vegas have emerged from the Gamespot forums, supplied by an Internet user who claims the information is from a trusted source.

The user claims that the information will appear in the next issue of the US mag Game Informer, although Bethesda refuses to comment on this.

The opening week for Final Fantasy XIII in Japan saw a gargantuan 1.5 million sales, smashing records in the face with no remorse.

The second week though fell from the stratosphere, managing to scrape by in comparison with just 200k sales. This is the Final Fantasy norm.
