Call of Duty 5 to be revealed "mid-to-late June", redeploying WWII? UPDATE

Activision is soon to reveal the upcoming Call of Duty 5, from developers Treyarch, for the first time though exactly how remains unclear.

Infinity Ward are sitting this one out as Treyarch get their turn behind the wheel, it's believed that COD5 will be revisiting the trench lines of the second World War.

Update: PlayTM magazine stats that Call of Duty 5 will be called Call of Duty: World at War and is set in the Pacific part of WWII

Harald Seeley, business manager for Crytek, has told Next-Gen that no upcoming titles from the company will be exclusive to the PC in the future.

Eurogamer.de has secured some exclusive information from Chris Taylor which confirms the development of Dungeon Siege 3, although no information was given about what platforms it would be appearing on.

Rock Band has a sequel in the making, or so this teasing piece of art would have us believe, a tipster sent the concept works into Joystiq.

The survey, from Listen Research, asked which of the two would most attract your attention in the shop and which is a "better fit" to the games description. So rock 'n' roll!

One billion virtual world inhabitants in next ten years, study shows

Strategy Analytics released forecast study shows that 22% of broadband users will have enlisted in some virtual world environment, like Habbo Hotel, within the next decade.

They also predict that one billion virtual gamers would, by their estimates, by worth $8 billion in service opportunities. By then that would be around 1/7 of the Worlds population.

Zelnick: BioShock film "more likely" to release next to BioShock 3

Strauss Zelnick has commented during the company's conference call to investors that the film adaption would hit cinemas around BioShock's third instalment.

Asked by an analyst whether they retain creative control over the movie project, Zelnick dodged a direct reply and added T2 was financially safe from its development.

Take-Two flex their portfolio, expects sports division to lack profit

Cindy Buckwalter, a senior T2 executive, has announced at the company’s conference call that they have 33 projects working their way through the pipeline.

An unfortunate admission followed that they expect 2K Sports not to turn a profit this year; this all comes from Take-Two's Q2 financial releases.

According to email communiqué filtering through to Kotaku, LucasArts has been giving the boot all over from testers to producer big-wigs.

One such soul is Shawn Storc, the now ex-producer of Lego Star Wars and the recently released Lego Indiana Jones. Knights of the Old Republic 3 even gets a mention.

Brothers In Arms: Hell's Highway demo confirmed

Gearbox Software has confirmed to Videogamer.com that it plans to release a demo for Brothers In Arms Hell's Highway on Xbox 360, PC and PS3.

Randy Pitchford, Gearbox president, mentioned that the he wasn't sure if it'll be released before the game hits retail or after the official release in August.
