The first ever football sport title from Ubisoft, Pure Football, will be out this May 28th. It favours 'down the park' matches over the stadiums.

EA Sports' browser-based Tiger Woods PGA Tour Online is so not totally free, in fact it's so not free that you have to actually pay money to play it.
You can pay annually, monthly or per round. It's got singleplayer, multiplayer and tournaments for golfing fans. The beta period is over.

Developer Jadestone has announced the closure of Championship Manager Online, and how "contractual obligations" forbid them talking.

EA Sports boss Peter Moore has revealed they've parked up NASCAR in favour of the new mixed martial arts franchise they started. Need for Speed to fill the void?
Moore "thoroughly enjoyed" the relationship with NASCAR when he first arrived, but EA Sports MMA looks too good to pass up. EA "had to redeploy" the racer devs to the MMA project.

EA has confirmed that a playable demo for FIFA 10 will be released for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC on September 10th in Europe and September 17th in North America.
The teams playable in the demo are Barcelona, Munich, Juventus, Chelsea, Bayern, Marseille and Chicago Fire. Exhibition match is available, but for the first time players will be able to upload their videos to EA's Football World.
