GSC Game World says a console version of their apocalyptic first-person shooter will depend upon how well the upcoming prequel is received on PC.

Oleg Yavorsky of GSC described consoles as "basically a platform to let you earn some cash for the company," with the PC you can "get your heart and soul" into the game.

Confirmed: Red Alert 3 put on hold for PlayStation 3

EA has just confirmed to Strategy Informer that the PlayStation 3 version of Red Alert 3 has been put on Hold.

Jonathan Goddard, PR Manager for EA said; “We can confirm that the development of Red Alert 3 for PS3 has been put on hold. EALA is focusing resources on development for PC and Xbox 360 which will ship simultaneously this autumn.”

Kevin McCann, Director of Development for Tiki Games, announced that Novastrike has been approved by SCEA and will be available to download from the PlayStation Network from today.

Pete Stone, UK general manager for Konami, has told MCV that the publisher has written agreements in place with retailers in order to safe guard against early sales of Metal Gear Solid 4 taking place before the official street date.

PC feast of Resident Evil 5 likely, it's already developed on them

Capcom have in fact already developed the game on PC where they can more easily get on with their day job, it's then migrated over to Xbox360 and PS3.

While there's no official announcement to a PC release they have made a number of previous console exclusives available to us desktop gaming zealots.

Civilization Revolution demo available now on Xbox Live and PlayStation Network

Just a quick note to let you all know that the demo for Civilization Revolution, which we reported about yesterday, is now available for download on the Xbox Live Marketplace and PlayStation Network. It's 1.25 GB in size mind you.

There is also a Battlefield: Bad Company demo on Xbox Live that is 1.5GB. We're downloading it now, only 30% more to go!

Thomas Howalt, business development director at IO Interactive, has told GamesIndustry.biz that the release of the Kane & Lynch video game didn't go as badly as many would of thought after the massive scandal that happened with reviews.

According to Giant Bombs latest podcast the veteran Tony Hawk developer will sit out on future games in the franchise.

Instead ex-EA Chicago-ites who make up the Robomodo team from Illinois is earmarked to grab their board and get to the grind. Activision did say they wanted to shake things up.
