Confirmed: Red Alert 3 put on hold for PlayStation 3

EA has just confirmed to Strategy Informer that the PlayStation 3 version of Red Alert 3 has been put on Hold.

Jonathan Goddard, PR Manager for EA said; “We can confirm that the development of Red Alert 3 for PS3 has been put on hold. EALA is focusing resources on development for PC and Xbox 360 which will ship simultaneously this autumn.”

It's no secret that Electronic Arts wants a juicy slice of the MMO pie, so could The Sims which is all about life and its interactions be their foot in the door?

Nancy Smith, head of EA's Sims Division, has said the publisher is looking to "invest in more and more robust community features," in the franchise.

Not that long ago the Diablo community was practically rioting over a US magazines selective choice of words, well here we go again.

This time it's the German PC Action which is causing a ruckus over at the DiabloFans Forums, to which some have admitted their "just picking straws".

Capcom have in fact already developed the game on PC where they can more easily get on with their day job, it's then migrated over to Xbox360 and PS3.

While there's no official announcement to a PC release they have made a number of previous console exclusives available to us desktop gaming zealots.

According to Giant Bombs latest podcast the veteran Tony Hawk developer will sit out on future games in the franchise.

Instead ex-EA Chicago-ites who make up the Robomodo team from Illinois is earmarked to grab their board and get to the grind. Activision did say they wanted to shake things up.

Infinity Ward and Activision have released a new patch for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare which brings the game to version 1.6. Infinity Ward and Activision have released a new patch for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare which brings the game to version 1.6.

The latest patch adds four new maps (Chinatown, Broadcast, Creek, and Killhouse), oldschool and hardcore browser filters and a bug fix for the Denial of Service attack.

Crytek launches Crysis: Warhead splash site - First image revealed

Crytek has released the first splash page for its upcoming Crysis expansion pack, Warhead. Nothing has been mentioned about the game, but it does contain the first image showing a soldier with a gun in his hand.
