Ubisoft release new co-op gameplay trailer for Assassin's Creed: Unity

The upcoming Assassin's Creed: Unity, set in revolutionary France, will feature a significant co-op portion of the game. This new gameplay trailer is over 2 minutes of pure tease - with colourful coats and pointy blades.

Ubisoft has rebuilt the combat in Unity, with fencing being their inspiration for the new system. The Hidden Blade also becomes the Phantom Blade with long range.

United Front Games' Sleeping Dogs is getting the Definitive Edition treatment for PC, Xbox One and PS4 - and it's due out in early October. Some more little details have been released.

It is now "natively running in 1080p," with textures and draw distances improved for sharper visuals, and there's volumetric fog too. Sadly, mod support isn't so definitive.

Short live action film released for Monolith's Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor

WB Games has sponsored the release of a short live action film to whet our appetite for Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, which is due out the end of this month from developer Monolith.

It's almost 8 minutes long and from Corridor Digital. It's full of ugly orcs and a certain Ranger we'll be playing as when the action-orientated RPG starts its Wraith rampage.

Paradox release Magicka 2 - Karaoke Singalong trailer, competition announced

Extreme caution advised as Paradox Interactive has unleashed the terrifying power of Karaoke in their latest trailer for Magicka 2. It's full of 80's screen wipes and visual effects.

To further the madness, Paradox has also announced a 'sing your own version' Karaoke competition, where fans provide their vocals to a purely instrumental version of the trailer.

Grand Theft Auto 5 delayed on PC until January 27th, new content revealed

Rockstar Games is the bearer of good and bad news for GTA 5 fans. Firstly, the PC crowd is going to have to wait until late January before setting off for sunny Los Santos. That's the bad news.

The good news is the studio has also revealed what shiny new things await the next-gen remastered GTA 5. New weapons, vehicles, activities and enhanced effects are all in.

Techland's Dying Light brought foward, now releasing January 27th 2015

The original window of February 2015 for Dying Light is no more as Techland's official twitter for the game reveals a picture with 'Jan 27th 2015' scrawled across it, surrounded by supplies.

It's not the date for an early demo either, as they confirm it is indeed the full release. Dying Light builds on the success of Dead Island, but is radically improved especially in player mobility.

With the recent announcements of new Haunted House and Alone in the Dark titles from Atari, as they give the IPs a good dusting, it's no surprise they're looking to shake cobwebs from others.

Atari has a huge catalogue of over 220 IPs just hibernating, so the challenge becomes what they throw their resources behind, says chief operating officer Todd Shallbetter.

That weird noise in that vent? It's gold now. Creative Assembly has announced that Alien: Isolation is ready to induce cardiac arrest and night terrors with a new trailer to mark the occasion.

The video is a quick - real quick - vignette of gameplay with teases of the "varied environments and challenges" we'll be tip-toeing through. We're underpowered and underprepared.

It's been snooped that Rockstar Games has been making an awful lot of updates to their Grand Theft Auto 5 entry in the Steam database this past week. Several changes are being made daily.

This flurry of activity comes after a month-long drought of nothing, but now something is stirring. Hopefully this points to a release date reveal just around the corner.

Warner Bros. Interactive have announced the "first ever" Season Pass for the LEGO series with the upcoming LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham. It'll include 6 DLC packs containing unique missions.

There'll also be additional free play modes, with a total of over 40 different characters to unlock as well as vehicles and more. The Season Pass will sell for £12.79, or £2.55 for each DLC.

Death to Spies 3 taking to Kickstarter, presents stealth action for $85k

Haggard Games, a Russian developer, is taking their Death to Spies stealth action series to Kickstarter in a bid for $85k. It's set during World War II and the Cold War, and Haggard unveil plans for mod tools.

We play a KGB agent and Death to Spies 3 takes place across five countries, in Europe and the US. The story revolves around the J.F. Kennedy assassination, and the conspiracies around it.

Ubisoft has pushed the release of Assassin's Creed Unity back by two weeks, with a new date of 11th November in the US and 13th November in Europe.

This delay gives the publisher two extra weeks to help ensure that the "quality of the game meets fans’ - and the team’s - lofty expectations."

Heists for GTA Online maybe the big thing current Grand Theft Auto 5 players are wanting - that, and some single-player DLC - but what of us poor PC gamers?

Troubling news from Gamescom suggests that Rockstar will be keeping GTA 5 a while longer, missing the supposed late 2014 release. Apparently it was at Gamescom, but only for retailers.

Capcom might be developing a remastered version of Resident Evil HD, which it released exclusively for the GameCube in 2002, according to a report from the latest issue of Famitsu.

As you can see from the scan, which is actually very small, it's difficult to extract information from it but it does appear to show what Capcom have been able to improve from 2002's release for 4th generation consoles and PC.

2K and Gearbox Software announced today that Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel will available in the UK on 17th October, 2014. We can also confirm the US date, which is the 14th October.

Currently in co-development with Gearbox Software and 2K Australia, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel is set in between Borderlands and Borderlands 2, and brings low-gravity shoot n loot mayhem to Pandoras moon for the first time.

Rebellion's Sniper Elite 3 is now available for pre-purchase through Steam with 20% off its launch price, and includes the 'Target Hitler' DLC. The studio also mentions a "significant announcement" is due next week.

It's "not about" Sniper Elite 3 they say, which is due June 27th, but next week's news will be a "huge step" toward making Sniper Elite's core gameplay even more famous.

Ubisoft "working to fix" Uplay server troubles, Watch Dogs plagued with glitches

Unfortunately the launch of Watch Dogs hasn't gone smoothly for Ubisoft as the Uplay servers have been overwhelmed and suffering an authentication issue, which has had a knock-on effect with other titles.

If that wasn't bad enough, the PC version of Watch Dogs is also suffering terribly from framerate stutters on even high-end GPUs despite having graphical settings lowered.
