Alliance: Future Combat, review by Electrocat

Hopes and Dreams: abated

I love to play war games. I started a long time ago and have waited to see a good game come along. Every once in a while there is one. This however, is not it.

The entire idea of the game and the games pre-release description was exciting. At least I thought so.

You install the game and run it. Your disappointment mounts by the second. Playing the game leaves you wondering how they ever released it. The graphics are okay even in the best mode. The interface is not to hard to understand a plus. The unit control and realism is poor and just like so many games before it, units are stupid, path-finding leaves a lot to be desired and the behavior of units have no control settings at all.

If you want my advice on this game I would say, don't even bother to download it. What ever you do, don't purchase it. What a waste of a good idea.
