Anno franchise is mostly based on economics and city building, so I doubt there will be any proper battles in there. Just sporadic attacks from your enemies but, who are the enemies in 2070 who knows... Maybe aliens? :p

likely somekind of hostile corporations battling for the territories like on the other Anno series(but then other explorers)

I know Anno is not really a RTS but you still struggle agains an opponent in some way.
I just asked in case this turned into just a regular city-builder. I just prefer Caesar over Simcity :)
